The restaurant had a cozy feel with its location and interior, and the owners and staff were incredibly kind. I got the lomi overload with bagnet, sizzling ribeye steak, vegetable lumpia, ube milk tea with salted cheese, and sizzling parmesan mo ng tapa with bone marrow. I’ve had most of these dishes during the pandemic, and they’ve always amazed me. But, hands down, my absolute favorite was the sizzling pares with tapa and the bone marrow.
I think their prices are unbeatable. I’m really looking forward to coming back and trying all the other dishes on the menu.
I came here with my family and friends and everyone really enjoyed the food. We ordered Pares Silog, Sizzling Rib Eye Steak, Sizzling Pares with Bone Marrow, and Vegetable Lumpia. For drinks we had the Mango Smoothie and Thai Tea, and both were really good.
The pares here is very flavorful and comforting. It honestly reminds me of the famous Pares Retiro in the Philippines, which makes it feel very authentic.
I think this might be the only restaurant in the Bay Area that focuses on pares, so it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re craving that classic Filipino comfort dish.
The owner and staff are very friendly, and the service is great. They make you feel welcome every time you visit.
Parking is also easy. There is meter parking in front of the restaurant, and if you can’t find a spot you can park near CVS nearby.
Overall, a great place for authentic Filipino comfort food in the Bay Area.
