Reviews
The restaurant seems to be family-run, which explains the very “noisy” atmosphere. The female owner was speaking loudly across the restaurant the entire time, and the Cousins I assume were also having their own loud conversations. If you’re looking for a peaceful dining experience, this might not be the place.
Customer service was also interesting. No “thank you,” and the receipt only appears if you specifically ask for it , apparently that’s optional here. No SOP
Drinks were surprisingly expensive. I took the 3 prawn from the sambal, 10 cent size but the prawns were very hard and didn’t taste fresh, more like they had been reheated multiple times and microwaved cause I smell some chemical thing.
After reading the owner’s replies to other reviews, I noticed she seems to enjoy arguing with customers online , so I wouldn’t be surprised if a defensive reply appears here as well.
Overall, quite a memorable experience ,just not for the right reasons. Won’t be returning.
Another highlight was the Masala Tea. It was incredibly flavourful, rich in spice, and served piping hot. It’s the perfect, delicious conclusion to a great meal.
My only constructive feedback would be on the pricing for the non-vegetarian lunch sets. While the food quality is high, the cost felt a little on the pricey side compared to other local options. However, considering the excellent execution of dishes like the Appam and the outstanding service, it’s still worth the visit for a quality meal.
Overall, a recommended spot for authentic South Indian tastes!
The lady boss recommended the Chicken Chettinade, which had just the right amount of spiciness to elevate my meal and Chicken Varuval, tenderness was just right. I also tried the mutton curry, which was surprisingly delicious as well.
A word of caution: if you choose the Sayur Pegaga (Pennywort), be prepared for its bitter taste—it’s definitely not for everyone. On the vegetarian side, I enjoyed the sambal tempeh and the fried banana flower, which was a first for me.
To top it all off, the masala tea was fantastic. No doubt, I will surely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian cuisine.
Just a side note, I didn’t see a menu, so I didn’t know the price point until I was paying. RM22.50 for 8 dishes (small portion of everything) on my banana leaf meal and a masala tea seems reasonable to me.
I’m not a food reviewer but I’m a all time foodie. I don’t know if my review reach you guys or not. I really admired and appreciate the effort of the owners and staffs to bring good food for us (the community). You feel comfortable not only with the good food it’s the smile on the face when you taking the first bite. Every penny, worth it. You can see the pictures we don’t eat that clean normally. Let’s celebrate life by eating here.
Keep rocking guys. Unggal saapadukku naan adimai..

Thank you for your response.
I acknowledge your team’s feedback and would like to clarify that my frustration during the visit stemmed from how I was treated. I felt provoked and unheard, which led to my reaction.
That said, I understand the importance of mutual respect,I also hope that your team is reminded to handle all customers with professionalism and patience, even in tense situations.anyway we had bad customer handling service with you.
Do try the Mutton Curry, Chicken Curry. I had teh ice and masala chai with cow milk, love the teh ice not too sweet and there’s still hint of tea taste. Masala chai was interesting and worth the try. Overall a good experience and it’s very affordable
