First time trying African food for my family, and we were definitely impressed. Watching videos about fufu made me want to try it and I am so glad we did. We ordered a variety of items to be able to try several things. Everything was wonderful but my personal favorite is the Palm soup, enough to say it’s possibly one of my all time favorite dishes now. My family loved the Biekosseu. The chef is so nice and helpful by explaining what pairs together and gave us tips on how to eat the fufu that definitely helped. If you want authentic African food, this is it…everything is fresh and made to order and so flavorful. We loved it!

This amazing African food is a little bit of all of Africa. There is the Ivory Coast, which is Top on the list because the beautiful owner is from there, the Paris of Africa, as we say, her peanut butter stew is excellent, and the beef and goat are not cooked to death, which I appreciate—heading over to Nigeria. She also makes her own version of an Agusi, and it took me a minute to get used to her version, but I’ve already been back twice to re-up. She puts the perfect spice in her food for the American palate. I like spicy, but I’m a medium to hot spicy. African taste buds are on a whole other level, just like my Asian culture, which I love so much. I also got to have the Suya, which was the most flavorful suya I’ve ever had, and I also love the side that it comes with. It’s a grain of some sort. I forgot the name, but all I can say is four stars for her Customer Service and the fact that she makes everything to order from scratch, and that’s always the best in my book. Thank you so much for opening this little gem in Nashville. We need more culture.

What a lovely face to eat she surface in her home, which was very very cozy. And unless the atmosphere to enjoy company from Africa. Food was good. Let her know if you prefer spicy or not spicy.

Yes yes yes!!! So glad to have given this restaurant a try. Was skeptical at first because of the “scam” reviews but went ahead and called and placed my order and was beyond pleased. When I was a kid we had friends that would make us fufu and I have not found something that taste that authentic till now! I ordered the Ugusi and pepper soup with goat and fufu to go- both were so fresh and delicious. Not only was it delicious, but the serving sizes allowed for seconds and thirds! I will definitely be back!

I had the egusi and fufu. This is my first time leaving a review about anything EVER!! I don’t care how many Amazon wigs I done bought or who restaurant I have sat in. Mama’s food EATS DOWN!!! As an American who loves to try different cultures food.. BABYYY!! It very much serves; perfect texture, looks down to the spices. She has to cook to it with love cause that’s exactly what it taste like on my first try. I have had many many egusi soups back at home, Arkansas. I just moved to Nashville and was looking for some and hers stood out in image as to what it looks like at home. I tried it & it was CHEFS KISS !!!

I was a little skeptical at first going to somebody’s house. But when I tell you, this is the best HOME COOKED food I’ve ever had in my life, it was so so so amazing!!

If you are looking for authentic food with the most welcoming atmosphere then you have hit the jackpot here!! I came in and ordered the fufu with egusi and was then offered the most delicious soup as an appetizer!!! I ate the soup so fast I only grabbed the last sips of broth! Lol 10/10 experience
