This local establishment is definitely a hidden gem!!! We were passing through the area on our boat & decided to have dinner here. We sat at the bar & had some drinks and a FANTASTIC meal & even better experience!! The bartender was sweet & delightful, the owner, Joe, came out numerous times to chat, deliver food & follow up on how we were doing. The side house salads were a perfect portion & tasty! The entries were absolutely amazing, great portions & full of flavor!

I’ve lived in the area my whole life and somehow as an adult, tonight was my first night at Paradise. We were met with the utmost adorable old school hospitality behind the bar, what a gem he was (wish I knew his name!). We ordered a half meatball half shrimp & garlic pie, stuffed clams, and penne bolognese – all to go. First of all, the pizza is worth waiting for, WOW, best local pie I’ve have in a LONG TIME – run, don’t walk! The cream puffs for dessert, homemade… omg, just make room for us every weekend. What a fabulous old school gem, still turning heads. Go to Paradise, you won’t regret it.

Started out with an old fashioned drink, thumbs up. Dinner rolls were soft, crumbly, warm, like fresh made, probably. Then had the Eggplant and Veal parmesan with pene pasta. Each meal came out steaming hot, like right out of the oven. Delicious sauce, cooked perfectly. Waitress was very friendly and personable and made sure everything was good for us at the table. Not sure why this restaurant gets such good reviews, maybe because it is one of the only restaurants in town. Very friendly staff. But, our food took forever to arrive, and our waitress seemed to avoid us while we were waiting. We had a chicken parm hero, which was ok. We also ordered baked ziti. Not a hard dish to create. However, the ziti was mushy and over-cooked. They included mozzarella and didn’t seem to have much parm if any. No ricotta at all. While the ziti was overcooked, the cheese was undercooked, strange tasteless combo. It was really unappealing and was sent back. To their credit, they did not charge us for the dish.

So funny! I walked in to get my to go order and ended up staying for about an hour running my mouth. The owner came out and was chewing fat with me and some of the patrons were engaged in the conversation. Very very nice people there oh and the food was remarkable!

Great food(we had pizza, calamari rings, and a salad), the most delicious creme puff dessert I’ve EVER had, attentive servers, and an owner and chef that cared enough to come over to make sure we were having a good experience. I highly recommend it and next time we’re back visiting from Wisconsin, we’ll stop again!

Pizza was spot on. Other than that? Fried calamari was from a freezer and of such poor quality, why would it be served? You used to make it fresh 🙁 Literally inedible, the waitress agreed and removed it from the bill but then accidentally doubled everything else on the bill when we got our check. So disappointed with everything except good company with an old friend.
