I honestly didn’t enjoy food experience here. The food was way too oily — chicken biryani dish I tried felt heavy and greasy, which really took away from the taste. I was hoping for a nice meal, but instead it just left me feeling uncomfortable. I think the place could be so much better if they cut back on the oil and focused more on freshness.

Was in Herndon after a very long time to see some colleagues and we chose Pradise to reminisce old memories. Friday Buffet used to be the routine for my colleagues and I, back in the pre pandemic days.

As we stepped in, we were greeted by a familiar setting and seating and aromas, but a not so familiar faces and we didn’t see the Owner Mr. Sudhakar this time.

Lunch buffet was still being served and we were pleased to see the offerings. Wide variety of south and north indian fare and yes the famous mutton curry is still here and so are the pooris. Probably because its a Saturday. The fruit custard is still around too and it tastes every bit the same that made it a must have post lunch.

Staff and service was good, ambience was showing the age excepting a few new wall posters. Not much changed from pre pandemic and I guess that’s the secret for their running this long or may be not. Buffet was definitely worth coming back. It was a wide spread and the Chicken Biryani and Mutton curry and butter chicken tasted excellent.

In Comparison to Other equivalent Foods:

The Food at Paradise Cuisine is Absolutely – The Finest, Tastiest, and cooked with Authentic Spices.

Giving it that Back Home Flavor.

There are so many choices for choose from.

Spicy – Medium – Hot – Mild – There is Food for everyone at this PERFECT Restaurant.

I’ve been dining at Paradise Cuisine for more than 4 years now.

And – I absolutely love everything about The Food – The Ambiance – The Decor – And Especially The Beautiful People that Prepare and Serve the Food.

The Restaurant is Clean and Really Well Kept.

But – I will say – That after all of the Above – It is really about How Excellent the Food Really is.

The Butter Chicken – The Goat Curry – The Vegetarian Items – And It gets even better on Saturday and Sunday – With Puri and Chooleh.

My friends and I decided to eat together, and by then it was already 9:20 PM. We thought, “Okay, let’s see what’s nearby,” and when we searched for an Indian restaurant, we found one called Paradise Indian Cuisine. Worried that it might close soon, we rushed over there. We ordered food: one mutton keema biryani, boneless chicken biryani, chicken 65, masala dosa, and pineapple juice. About 15 minutes later, they served me the chicken 65. I took one piece, and it wasn’t cooked properly—it had a bad smell. I called them over and said, “This isn’t cooked; if you have any doubts, taste it yourselves, we don’t mind.” They said okay, took it back, and brought a new one after 5 minutes, claiming it was fresh. But they hadn’t changed anything—it was the same.

Then they brought the mutton keema biryani, and for the first time in my life, I ate such awful biryani. It smelled exactly like raw mutton—like something near a sheep. The chicken biryani wasn’t any better; the chicken wasn’t cooked properly either. I wanted to tell them, but I didn’t because I thought they’d just say, “We’re doing this on purpose,” so I stayed quiet. In the end, my friends and I only ate the masala dosa. We left all the remaining food on the table, and they were watching us—they knew the food wasn’t good, but no one asked us anything. Finally, we paid around $70 and left. Now, we’ve ordered pizza and are eating that.

Basically, if Telugu people maintain a restaurant, it’s usually really good, but this place was so terrible. So, if any of my friends are around Reston and want to eat out, I definitely won’t suggest this place!

Still unapologetically Indian. Food is spicy and if you can’t handle spicy then this place isn’t for you. I love their mutton curry. I have almost exclusively the mutton curry with idlis, pooris, and vadas. I take a spec of the rest just to taste. Last Sunday it was $19 for the buffet at lunch.
Restaurants should server tandoori chicken only ala carte. Buffet tandoori chicken is never good. Same at Paradise – skip it. The normally have a chicken biryani which is pretty good. They have peanut chutney and coconut chutney is really really good – as good as any restaurant in South India. I like their potato dish that you have with dosa or poori. I don’t have those other vegetarian food but my mother in-law who is vegetarian, is usually happy with the choices there. Yes , they have fewer choices if you are vegetarian about you won’t feel like you are missing out. They have fired fish occasionally too – maybe Sundays.
The desserts are normally double-ka-meetha (dkm), gulab jamun, carrot/gajar halwa, and fruit custard. The gulab jamun and gajar ka halwa alternate. The other two are staple. One of the few places that has dkm in a buffet. It’s a distant cousin of the dkm you get in India – but it scratches an itch but keeps you wanting more. they try. Mutton curry and idli are what do it for me though.
One of the few restaurants where the owner has stayed since the day it opened I think 10 years or so ago. The food quality and taste has stayed consistent. Their catering is also good.
Dinner is ala carte. My white friends have praised the butter chicken and tika masala. I’ve never had dinner here.

The Chef isn’t professional, no one puts corn in fried rice as an authentic chinese dish, , the chilly chicken wet was more like sweet and sour chicken with red gravy, where it’s supposed to dark gravy similar to Manxhurian gravy but tastes hot with “Chillies” not bell peppers. Overall experience, they dont have real professional chefs. The ones who put corn in fried rice and not putting julian cut veggies, mostly like carrots, green onions, thin cabbage aren’t called as chefs. It’s more like pulao mixed with biryani kind.. or something else..overall their chinese isn’t chinese…something indian only. Chef doesn’t have a clue how to make chinese food. Period!

Typical Indian food. We had the lunch buffet. It’s not anything spectacular. Some of the dishes were very oily or too salty. Some dishes were super spicy (if you are a fan of spicy, then you may like it). The desserts were decent. The custard was really good. Apart from food, the service was quick. They were quick to clear plates!

When a Restaurant is this Good and The Food is Exactly Authentic – I wanted to Write an Honest and Well Deserved Review of How Perfect the Food is Prepared and Served.

I have been dining at Paradise Indian Cuisine for more than 6 Years and I keep going back – Because the Food Tastes Like How it is Served Back home in our Countries.

If you haven’t been to Paradise Indian Cuisine – I Honestly think you are missing the Taste – The Aroma – And how succulent the Flavors are in the Items that are served at this Well Cared for and Neatly Kept Restaurant.

Personally – My Favorite is the Goat Curry – It has that Aroma and Flavor – That reminds me – When you go to one of those Street Restaurants back in our countries.

I always have the Goat Curry with Rice and I highly recommend that.

You will also truly enjoy the Butter Chicken as the Flavors – The Perfectly Blended Spices and Everything Mixed Together – Keeps me wanting to go back Again And Again.

That is just the Meat and Protein – But you also have to try their Vegetarian Section – And Everything it Offers.

The Vegetable Biryani and that Aroma of the Basmati Rice – One Word to Describe – FRESHNESS. You can sense that FRESHNESS – As soon as you walk inside the Restaurant.

The Palak Paneer – The Chunna Masala – Fried Allu Potatoes – And GOBI Manchurian are My All Time Favorites on the Vegetable Section.

And the Salad Section – Is Never Ending – Everything is Green – And Perfectly Fresh to Add the Salad items next to your Main Meal.

The Idly – Palak Paneer – And Sambar are amazingly delicious and I’ve always had them with my meal.

Also – The Potato Pakoras taste just like a restaurant I once visited in a small town called Lahore – Pakistan.

The Goat Biryani – With Goat Curry and a Side of Naan Bread – With Salad – And Onions and Tomatoes Salad with Daahi Chutney and Mixed Pickle. That reminds me of a small street side restaurant in Mumbai.

And all this is just on the week day menu.

On the Weekends – The Menu is even more enhanced.

Hulva Puri – Chooleh – and Enhanced Version of Karahie Chicken and So much more that I cannot even mention Here.

Honestly – I just cannot say Enough Good things about how Excellent and Perfect the Food is Served Here.

The Restaurant is Clean – Well Maintained – In A Perfect Location – In the Heart of Downtown Herndon Virginia.

The Dining Tables are Well Organized and Situated in Such a Manner that it has that Welcoming Feeling that makes you want to go back again and again.

If you have not been to Paradise Indian Cuisine – Please Visit this Beautiful Home away from Home Dining and You will know what AUTHENTIC Food is.

The Tandoori Chicken – Has all the Blended Flavors – Like Onions – Tomatoes – Hurri Mirch – All Combined with that Yogurt Marinade.

As a Customer – I have written a Very HONEST and SINCERE Review of Paradise Indian Cuisine and I will also Share Some Incredible Pictures – Of Just a Few of the Delicacies Served Here.

The Pictures – Really – Amazing – But You have to try the Food on your Own.

And dont forget the Mango Lussi with Your Meal.

And My Final Sentence Here – Paradise Indian Cuisine – Is the ONLY BUFFET in Reston – Herndon – Sterling.

Varieties of Authentic Indian Flavors – Bangladesh – Pakistan. There is something for Everyone Here.

WORST WORST FOOD I EVER HAD
spoiled food, 3/4 days back food was served in buffet.
I had informed so called owner Mr. Sudhakar and he replied to me don’t come if you didn’t like the food. Such a rude reply I didn’t expect from him and being 50+ old I was so polite and he was rude in answering

Later I said even rating was not that great and he replied saying worst people will add reviews and I don’t care about bad reviews

Each and every item was horrible no one wash there in entire restaurant
That it’s the sign not to step in but it was my bad day totally

Tried to order some takeout via Uber Eats. I ordered at 12:50 — it didn’t go through to the restaurant until 12:59. Oh well, technology happens.

I arrived to Paradise around 1:12, they notified me it wouldn’t be ready until 1:29. I informed them I couldn’t wait that long and asked them to cancel it. They said no and tried to gaslight me saying I ordered after 1pm.

Meanwhile Uber Eats noticed the discrepancy and happily canceled the order. It’s a shame because this was my first time ordering from Paradise and I was excited to try the food! Now I won’t be back given the service.
