I don’t know how a visit to this restaurant has somehow evaded me for so long! The schnitzel sandwich was prepared perfectly. The home fries were crispy and not greasy. The German potato salad wasn’t the soured type I’ve grown accustomed to in other establishments, as it was served warm and seasoned well. The authentic beer rounded out my meal. Will definitely return again to try their other dishes.

ALSO picked up some of their bratwurst, brotchen and authentic sauerkraut for a treat later. Well worth it!

Stopped by this place as I was trying to find some authentic German food in the area. Drove 30min from Rolla to get here, and it was well worth the drive and the money spent for the food. I got the Cordon Bleu with home style potatoes, and a side of Currywurst. My wife got the Jaegerschnitzel with the home style potatoes. The food was seasoned well, cooked just right and was cooked fresh right then and there. It came out hot and fresh. The service was great, and the restaurant was clean. The bathrooms were also very clean. The atmosphere was also very nice, and the owner was personable. My favorite dish was the Currywurst. It’s a large sausage served with a red curry sauce and a roll on the side. Overall, it was a very good meal. It cost about $50 for the 2 entrees, the side, and 2 drinks. Well worth it for the money, and we will definitely be back.

The food was authentic and delicious. I absolutely loved the decorations and being able to buy some authentic German tea. It was a little awkward because we were the only ones there, I wish more people knew about this amazing spot!

Amazing authentic German food! The service was a bit slow but plan to get seated and enjoy the atmosphere when you’re not in a rush. Small family owned restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming. No doubt about the authenticity. Absolutely would recommend.

The schnitzel is the best I’ve had stateside. This place is cheaper, tastier, and more homley than the HUB near Fort Leonardwood. Can’t recommend it enough here. They also have imported german beer

100% the most authentic and honest Deustche Essen in the country. The wurst alone is worth killing for as is the small town atmosphere and Bavarian vibe. All in all a must stop for anyone traveling in missouri regardless of direction or time.

The food was excellent and it reminded me of Germany. They could use more staff and the menu needs to be updated but that didn’t take away from our experience. Plus we got to speak German which was fun.

My husband and I stopped for a late breakfast. We had never been before. The gentleman working commented they don’t serve a lot of breakfasts. I don’t know why. It was very good!

We’ll definitely be back for dinner!

Tucked away one block north (308 feet) of historic #Route66 in downtown Waynesville. Ursula’s Schnitzelhaus does not receive the recognition it deserves. Authentic German food served up by a genuine family with a quirkiness that will endear them as characters on the Mother Road. This family has been feeding Waynesville for over 30 years. Their schnitzel sandwich was exactly what I was expecting and hoping for. I happily took the to-go imported Original Oktoberfest beer advice and was not disappointed. The freshest Haribo gummy candies that I have found are for sale in their in-house deli. See more #motherroad and #ozarks awesomeness at downtown-66.com.
