Jacob and Alex couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Paradise Bowls is a decent spot to go when craving smoothies or Acai. Their açaí bowls are consistently fresh and well-prepared, with that perfect balance of sweet and tart that makes açaí so addictive.

I ordered their “Island Bowl” which comes loaded with granola, banana, strawberries, and a drizzle of honey. The portions are generous enough to feel satisfying without being overwhelming. Their smoothies are equally impressive – smooth, perfectly blended, and not too icy.

What keeps this from being a perfect 5-star review? Two minor things: the prices are a bit on the high side (though comparable to other açaí places), and during peak hours the wait can stretch to 15-20 minutes. Their mobile ordering helps with this, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re in a hurry.

The staff is generally friendly. The location on Barranca is clean and has a nice beachy vibe that makes you feel like you’re getting a little taste of vacation while you eat.

If you’re looking for a nutritious meal or post-workout refuel in Orange County, Paradise Bowls definitely deserves a spot in your regular rotation. Just maybe avoid the lunch rush if you’re pressed for time.

Been coming here for years and I really like their bowls but the prices have gotten a bit out of control… over $13 for a medium bowl? I think is a bit excessive. They are pretty quick with making their bowls though, and customer service is good. some seating available inside and more available outside in the shade. They have added new things to the menu like bagels and avocado toast. And they have a selection of drinks and snacks to choose from as well if that’s what you’re in the mood for.

We came by for a quick lunch. We ordered a small Gaucho and a medium Chocolate Arc. They were decent, nothing special. Not much interaction with the staff except when we placed our order. There is one table and a few window seats available for dining in.

First meal of the day after an early cross country flight. It was very refreshing and I felt rejuvenated after we ate here. The staff were professional, the place was clean, and my bowl was delicious. This place is great!

Oh ya!
Second visit here and great once agin. I forget what I ordered but it was delicious! I ordered a medium bowl and it was so big they put it in a large container.

The açaí was a creamy consistency, not too frozen and not too runny.

The fresh fruit on top was fresh. Blueberries were so yummy! The strawberries were so sweet!

I asked for a scoop of peanut butter on top to add some protein and it was no problem.

Highly recommended

Paradise Bowls is a wonderful place to get your “blended” fruit bowl. The price is high but you do get a nutritious, healthy bowl of goodness, made to order.
Service is less than Disneyland quality, but, you’re not paying three digits just to get in the door. The food is worth the lack of eye contact…

Changing my prior review to 1 star. I live in San Diego so I hardly get to eat here anymore, but I was driving into town and tried to place a phone order at approximately 5:30 PM and again approximately 5:35 PM. Unfortunately no one picked up the phone so I figured I would get here 15 minutes before closing to order in person. When I arrived, I had to wait for a few minutes. Eventually, one of the employees told me that the kitchen closed at 5:30pm, despite the sign on the door saying 6pm. It was 15 minutes before closing when I arrived. The woman whose order they did take said she arrived no more than 5 minutes before me. When I asked if there was a manager to speak with, I was told there was no manager and that there would be no manager all week. The employee that I spoke with said his name was Carlos. The other customers and I all walked out confused and upset by the experience.

The employees turned off the lights and left the shop by around 5:55pm, despite the hours listed on the door and online saying they close at 6pm.

Prior review:
This was my first time trying Paradise Bowls and I loved it! Ordered on the phone and my açaí bowls were ready when I arrived. The portion size is huge for the price. Other places in the area charge a lot more for the same or smaller size. Highly recommend!

Don’t get me wrong, the acai bowl itself is 5/5. But the service is 1/5. When I picked up my acai bowl, it was all melted so I requested a new one. I waited 15 extra minutes just to get another melted bowl lol. At this point I think they just serve whatever half-melted acai bowl to customers. Oh, also they are very, very slow. The photo was taken right after I got my 2nd (another) melted bowl.

Smoothie bowl was ok, had big hunks of frozen peaches where they didn’t care enough to blend it fully.

Very impressed with this place for $11 you get a HUGE BOWL, I mean it’s gigantic, you might be able to feed a family of four…I think this is the best value açaí bowl I’ve had, and the granola is without wheat! Except for the molasses they use in it…And it’s organic where they can do it! And there’s no matcha which is a plus for me, I don’t want to eat uppers!!! Super happy customer, will be going out of my way to go here again! That’s my cup holder for scale….
