Food was excellent, and service was attentive and friendly. We started with lentil soup and börek, both were great, but the soup was my favorite. For entree , we ordered the lamb Adana kebab and Turkish grilled meatballs. Both were delicious, and the portions were generous. For dessert, we tried baklava and tea.
Overall, we loved the quality of the food, the authentic flavors, and the cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Paprica Grill – A Hidden Mediterranean Gem
If you find yourself wandering near Jewelers’ Row, do your taste buds a favor and step into Paprica Grill at 811 Sansom St. This spot proves that the best flavors often come from the most unassuming places.

The Vibe
The restaurant is small, warm, and cozy, offering a truly “charming” atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. Whether it’s the brick accents or the soft lighting, the space feels intimate and inviting—perfect for a quiet dinner.

The Hospitality
A huge part of the experience is the service. The owner, Ahmed, is a total sweetheart and ensures every guest feels like family. That level of personal care is hard to find and makes the meal even more memorable.

The Food
The kitchen is turning out authentic, homemade dishes that are deliciously seasoned, expertly wetting your taste buds from the first bite.
* Lentil Soup: Absolutely award-winning; it’s the ultimate comfort food with amazing flavors and vegetarian.
* Mixed Platter: A vibrant, must-order spread. From the creamy hummus to the perfectly seasoned dips, every element on the plate is a winner.
* Fresh Extras: The meal is served with warm, fluffy bread that’s perfect for scooping up every last bit of those Mediterranean flavors.
Verdict: For authentic Mediterranean soul food in Philly, this is it.

As soon we walked in we were greeted by the owner. Sat us himself, brought us water and menus and told us the specials. The food was absolutely fantastic, we ordered 4 different dishes plus coffee and tea. All the food was brought at the same time, hot and fresh. Had a wonderful time, will definitely be dining here anytime I find myself in Philly.

We go to this place before every show we watch at the walnut street theater. Place has never disappointed. I enjoy their octopus salad and lahmacun. I recommended the baklava dessert too! Jim, kubra, ahmet were kind, accommodating, and wonderful. Thank you!

Upon entry of the restaurant we were greeted with a warm welcome and were offered a table immediately. The menu has practically any famous turkish dishes you can imagine. Upon looking over the menu we were handed appetizers and water to keep us occupied. The food came out almost 10 minutes after we placed our orders and everything was made just right. A peak over to the kitchen side and you can see the food being prepared fresh including the dough being braided for a separate dish. It’s refreshing to see a restaurant cooking and preparing from scratch. The quality, taste and mixture of flavors sit so well on the taste buds and the stomach once finished.

If I had to describe this place in a few words I’d have to say this is a hidden 5 star restaurant at not even less than a quarter of the costs.

The staff is super friendly and highly attentive, they give great recommendations and go in depth detail differentiating the dishes available.

This place is a home run.

I had a wonderful experience at Paprica, an authentic Turkish restaurant! I tried the pide with sausages and it was absolutely amazing! perfectly baked and full of flavor. I also had the lahm majon, which came with fresh vegetables and tasted so delicious.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I also tried the kunafa with ice cream on the side, honestly the best kunafa I’ve had in the U.S. The tea and ice cream were excellent as well.

I’m excited to come back and try more items on the menu. Highly recommended!

Outstanding service, food, and atmosphere. Every dish was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. We enjoyed the chicken adana, lamb adana, chicken shish, and kuşbaşı pide—all were excellent. The coffee, tea, and künefe were the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Friendly, attentive staff and a warm, inviting ambiance made the experience even better. Highly recommend Paprica Grill in Philly for authentic Turkish cuisine.

Their food is life-changing! Absolutely delectable.

We wanted to try something unique that was close by, and Paprica Grill was the perfect choice! I highly recommend this restaurant – you will love it!

The owner and servers were so helpful and they showed us pictures of different dishes that are popular with diners. We ended up getting huge bowls of Turkish lentil soup, Pide with Kusbasili (not pictured), and my entree was the Lamb Adana Kebab.

My friend got Octopus Salad to-go, which looked delicious, but I didn’t get a chance to take a pic with the lid off.

The food and service here was impeccable – they didn’t rush us at all – they let everyone take ample time to eat and talk. They also gave us a refill of the Turkish tea, which was amazing!
