Good place to grab Mexican food! The service is good, the food is tasty, it’s the spot to go when you’re hungry and craving something satisfying. Never had anything bad. Recommend!

They would get a 5 for food if their waitress wasn’t such a piece of work. She had such a bad attitude I have never been treated like that in a restaurant. You couldn’t make a simple request without an eye roll or her snatching something off your table. When we complained she came up speaking Spanish and laughing. The guy at the front very helpful manager was nice and hopefully she will do something about it. Couldn’t get a refill, told me they weren’t making margaritas after I watched multiple people have them, gosh forbid I sent the order back after it was completely wrong!!! I work in customer service I know how it can be but gosh that was awful

Great place to get Mexican food in Hattiesburg. I got the chicken fajitas quesadilla which came with a choice of rice/beans or salad. It also comes with chips and salsa. The quesadilla was large and flavorful. While it was delicious, I wish the quesadilla was a bit more crispy and much of it was mushy. I wish there was more cheese as well. But overall great tasting food and good service.

Tonight was a massive Shrimp cocktail with a side of rice instead of chips, which was still good by the way. My waitress did not miss a beat kept water filled since this was after a workout meal. Jammed packed with shrimp, pico, avocado, and rice. Only complaint was it was game night and football wasn’t on. Great date nights, anniversary, or just some happy food.

Honestly I do not recommend anybody going to this restaurant. I absolutely hated this restaurant and I normally do not use words like that! 1st the lady that set the chips and salsa on the table was very rude she did not greet us she did not say anything to us She just put the chips in sauce on a table and walked away! Ben came to the food but guacamole is right out of a package not made in house at all! The cheese dip was running. The chips were out of a bag they were not fresh a tasted very in store so if you look in for all finnick Mexican restaurant this is not it.

Our waiter didn’t check on us until our food and drinks were gone. The guacamole is not fresh or real quac, it taste like it comes from a big bag of fake avocado paste. There was nothing in it. Cost $5.99, waste of money. We asked the price of their margaritas, which are pre-made batches (I doubt they were made there) they said the small was $7.95, and the medium was $8.95.
We ordered the medium. The bill said two Jumbo Margaritas, so we asked about it, and he said “regular/jumbo same thing.” We brought it up with the cashier, and he said,”Well, it’s Cinco de Mayo,” so they charge more?!? The chimichanga was tasteless but edible. Never going back.

Papito’s definitely has great food. However they desperately need to update their restaurant. The bathroom needs attention immediately. The service is absolutely terrible. The last three times we have been our waiter has neither refilled drinks nor came by for anything other than to bring the food. They are often very busy though so customers are trying to look past all of that because the food is excellent. But as a customer, my advice is put a little money into the upkeep and and have staff that enjoy the service industry.
