OMG, I was truly impressed. Yesterday our party of seven went to Papi’s Tacos for lunch, and since it was our first time there, we didn’t know what to expect — but we were blown away. The atmosphere was great, and Patrick, our server, was absolutely amazing. He was on his A‑game from start to finish.
Patrick was extremely helpful, offering suggestions and insight that were spot‑on. What really impressed us was that he didn’t write down a single order, and everything came out perfectly. That takes skill.
Steph also noticed when we needed something and jumped right in to help. She checked on us throughout the meal to make sure we were taken care of. Both Steph and Patrick delivered excellent customer service — and I’m big on customer service, so that means a lot.

Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we will definitely be back. Keep up the awesome work.

We stopped by while walking in Fells Point. It was a beautiful day so we asked for outside seating. Gabby the hostess was very friendly and welcoming. You have an opportunity to build your own tacos however only 2 come with the order and toppings are additional. I ordered a bowl and my partner ordered a burrito. Food was basic. Margaritas (1 each) were good. The downfall was when the check came and it was $70! Definitely wasn’t $70 worth but after looking at the bill, 18% gratuity and a few other service/tax fees were included.

We enjoyed our lunch here. I really liked the Platinos and the Horchata. Service was great as well. They add the gratuity already even if there’s only 3 in the party but they do tell you ahead of time. Anyway after eating here go straight across the street and have a good coffee.

I’ve been working on Falls Rd one block away from Papis since they opened here. They have awesome quesadillas! Every Thursday they have a quesadilla lunch special. With the side of salsa I purchase it’s usually about $12. Well, I just picked up my weekly quesadilla and was charged $22. I asked why so much and the guy explained to me that some dude last week wanted 7 different proteins added and that guy ruined the good deal of “put whatever you want on your quesadilla for $9!” for everyone. Now you can only add one protein and pay a fee for the rest. I got chicken and black beans on mine. So if the chicken is my included protein that means I payed $10 more than usual for beans. A side of beans is supposed to be $3.50. I’m never going back.

Came in the day after Thanksgiving around 2:45 p.m. and it was nice and cold and they were nice and welcoming We had a family and a couple of couples sitting in the restaurant it was a beautiful atmosphere Can’t wait to go again

The food tasted great and looked amazing when it arrived at the table! The servers was attentive and the space was clean and inviting. We opted to dine indoors, but the outdoor space on the deck looked wonderful as well.
The parking lot is rather small, but such is life in the city. Street parking can be found close by.

Okay so the Margarita was good but damn, the food… terrible. This is the second time I’ve when there and this enchilada is horrible. Dry and I couldn’t even get a decent side on lettuce. I’ve been to a lot of places around Baltimore and have only posed things positively. I could t help but to post because how do you mess up an enchilada so bad?

EDIT 5 years later (Feb 2025) I just had to add that we have continued to be fully satisfied by Papi’s Hampden and order often. We love our stand-bys but also the specials. This week we had a delightful dinner at home (order/pickup) on Valentine’s Day and all of our food was packaged in heart-shaped boxes! What a great little touch! The food was great and the packaging was just that extra special moment. (adding pics with our Valentine’s boxes!) *One caveat, we always order chips with salsa and a side of guac, this was the smallest bag of chips we have ever gotten.
Great and filling food! Delicious drinks! Friendly, if a bit slow, service! And great atmosphere… just steps from home (or from the Avenue in Hampden if you’re visiting!) Try it out!
