This is an incredible gem hidden in Spencer, Indiana. The food is very good made with quality ingredients. I was amazed that I got a Corona fully “dressed” without asking for it. Amazed to find that in Spencer Indiana. Service could be better but they are trying to hire and more people can mean faster service

The only not perfect thing was our waiter, he didn’t come back at all. I do think that he was the only one waiting tables, so all is forgiven. The food was DELICIOUS! I moved here from California and I’m sure you will understand that we had our choice of the best Mexican food this side of the border. But since moving to Indiana, Papi Chulo’s is the very best! You do have to pay for chips and salsa, but they give you a lot and everything on the menu is moderately priced so we were okay with paying for chips. We’ll be back! Probably next weekend! Oh and lastly, I love the decor! It’s a day of the dead theme and has bright beautiful colorful murals. Check them out!

The food was absolutely amazing. You’d think they would give you small portion sizes but the burrito here was bigger than my head. The waiter there had a huge accent but after a little a common sense you can tell what he says. This place has such a great environment that I think it’s perfect for any dining plans you might have.

We became pretty regulars at Papis in the last year. We like to sit at the bar, and we had mostly good experiences for a while. But 2 of last 3 times the service was just terrible. We went in today, 1 other table in the restaurant at late lunch time. Sat at the bar, and was told the other server would come help us. For 15 minutes she stood 3 feet from us training herself to make a cocktail. Never took a drink order, nothing. She looked at us several times and we nodded like yes we want to order. She remade the drink 3 more times. Almost 20 minutes and we are the only people in there, and not a word from anyone. We walked out. I’ve not walked out of anywhere in years. Honestly, it was just bizarre. Seemed they did not want us there. Not sure how else to describe it. Was like we were ghosts. It’s too bad, we really started to like it there, but the service has got to change for us even consider going back.

Here at Papi Chulo’s and it’s incredible! Great menu selection with amazing drinks and a beautiful atmosphere! I got the pineapple kick drink which definitely lives up to its name, my husband got the mojito and loved it. He ordered wings which I didn’t get a picture of but they were drowning in a generous amount of sauce. I got the arroz con pollo and it was piping hot and very flavorful. Service was really quick and we were checked in on often. It was a little loud for my taste but at least the loud music drowned out the obnoxious family of children across the room.

The didn’t seem to work well. It was so hot. My husband’s food came 10 min before mine. He is a gentleman so it wasn’t still hot when he went to eat.
