The food came out beautifully presented, and you could tell care was put into how each dish was prepared and plated ✨ Presentation wise, it definitely got me excited to dig in. For my personal taste, though, the dumplings and wonton soup were just slightly lacking in flavor and could have used a bit more seasoning or depth.
That said, the chili oil was absolutely delicious ️ It added the perfect kick and really elevated the dish. I found myself reaching for it often and it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience with great service and ambiance. With a bit more flavor in some of the things I ordered it would be exceptional. I’m still glad I visited and enjoyed my time there
Out of 3 dishes, only the boil dumpling was decent.
The beef was tough in the bee noodle
The ribs was small and the sauces feels like glaze on instead of cook together… The carrot butterfly cutting was cute
For the prices I was expecting to be a little more food and better taste….
Started going to their farmers market stand in Orinda and Walnut Creek a few years back. Was so excited to hear they finally opened a brick and mortar spot. Finally got around to trying it today and wasn’t disappointed.
Came for a quick lunch and ordered the cucumber salad and chicken potstickers. The potstickers are huge and generously filled. The cucumber salad is fresh and so flavorful. The chili oil just made it all the more better!
Service was so attentive and caring. Constantly got water refills and check ins about my dining experience which was appreciated without being overbearing.
I will definitely return to try some other items soon. I wish they had a spot in the east bay but it’s worth the drive for me.
We ate Zha Jiang noodles, pork potstickers, spicy wonton, and steamed beef dumplings. None of them disappointed, very delicious! The noodles were springy and the sauce was very good. The Pork potstickers are my two-year-old daughter’s favorite. We’ll definitely come back!
Boiled Dumplings: 3.5/5
Sweet & Sour Crispy Pork: 3/5
Cleanliness: 2/5
The place looks new, but the overall experience fell short. The food was mixed, which can be a matter of personal taste, but the cleanliness definitely needs improvement. I hope they address it, because the restaurant has potential.
