Loaded hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and a bit mush on the inside. Needed a bit more salt as well
The onions rings were okay but not as crispy as I would have liked
The sampler has good crispy bacon but sweeter than expected. The home style potatoes were really good. The french toast were really good, soft and nice flavors.
The raspberry Belgian were soft and goes very nicely with the syrup. The sausage patties were salty and tasty.

Great neighborhood cafe with good food and great service. We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints for a yummy breakfast. My son loves the plate size pancakes. The senior specials are good too. The hash browns and the crispy home style potatoes are both great options. The French toast also never disappoints. The staff are prompt and courteous, always with a smile. Thank you for a great meal every time. They have booths, tables and counter service and also do takeout.

Visited Papa’s for breakfast again this morning and challenged Becky, our server, to order for me. I was served the MacDaddy – fried eggs, pumpernickel toast, hash browns and onions, and sausage patties – a great American standard breakfast. Seems it was named after a long time regular customer who has since passed. Very sweet. During a previous visit she surprised me with the eggs benedict, always a favorite – they were a little salty for my taste, but still very good, while my nephew had French Toast and bacon, huge servings, and another had a veggie omelette. Becky shared photos of her new baby – awesome!

There’s a daily special that’s written on the board when first coming in. On the right when entering, there’s 6 booths, a sitting bar area, 2 regular tables, and a booth behind those. Each table, be it in the booths or tables, has a different picture on the top of the table. Mainly pride for the military and local heroes, with small cards offering for local business owners to be able to have their business advertised on their table tops for 2 years(limited to amount of tables, of course). There is, when looking through the doors of the left, another area with tables for if the right side gets full. It has two large tables for groups, too.
I got a single slice of special batter French toast, it having cinnamon and sugar on it. I also got 2 sides of bacon(6 pieces). My Significant Other ordered the daily special of biscuits and gravy, with eggs and hash browns.
The service was fast for us, and it even looked a little busy.
His meal:
Spicy gravy is very good, having Italian sausage in it. Biscuit is fantastic. The egg is good, too. He added a little salt and ketchup on his Hash browns, but was good. He is from a southern state, so it is a high compliment if he finds it very good/fantastic.
My meal:
The French toast is delicious more because of the cinnamon. The syrup is a little thick, which is a nice change. The bacon is absolutely delicious, too. tasted like applewood smoked bacon.
They have homemade pies and cakes for dessert, and it shows to ask of the options.
Total came out as 35$ in total. Definite for going back.

In one week I had two different people tell me about Papa’s Cafe. So I decided it was time to try it. I’m so glad we did! The service was top notch. The servers were friendly and the other customers were friendly too. The food was good and came out fast and hot. The bacon was cooked perfectly and not greasy. The pancakes were light and fluffy. This diner is well worth the visit.

I live just a few blocks away and this place is absolutely one of my favorites. The servers are super super nice and friendly. The prices are almost ridiculously low. The food is always great, especially the breakfast items. My favorite is the turkey club omelette. It’s like an eggs Benedict omelette, and it’s perfect!! My parents love it, too, when they visit. It looks like just another diner, but there’s something special about this one. It isn’t trying to be anything it’s not and I love that.

Tried this today and it loved the ambience, and the service was good. The food was “okay” nothing special. I really wanted to have a better review because it had a fun diner vibe, but just can’t suggest eating there. The Papa’s Benedict seemed safe, but the English muffins had burnt edges and were rubbery inside. Ham was good, eggs were cooked correctly, sauce was separated. Hash browns were clumpy and difficult to separate. The raspberry pancakes looked good but had a chemical raspberry flavor.
