Papa’s Cafe is a privately owned authentic diner. It felt a bit like I had time traveled when I entered. The menu includes a variety of breakfast and lunch/supper options – all very Americana. I got the Mexican Chorizo Omelette with hash browns and pumpernickel toast. It was all fresh and tasty. The omelette was fluffy. The portion was generous, without being overwhelming. The servers were professional. The space offers a bank of classic diner stools facing the kitchen as well as comfortable booths and a variety of tables. Everything is simple. Everything is clean. Free parking right outside the diner. Although I had read other reviews saying the pricing is relatively cheap, that was not my experience. My omelette and ice tea cost over $16 before the tip. It was really good – but not cheap (therefore a 4 rather than 5 star review). The venue is perfect for a meal with family and/or friends. I recommend it.

I live just a few blocks away and this place is absolutely one of my favorites. The servers are super super nice and friendly. The prices are almost ridiculously low. The food is always great, especially the breakfast items. My favorite is the turkey club omelette. It’s like an eggs Benedict omelette, and it’s perfect!! My parents love it, too, when they visit. It looks like just another diner, but there’s something special about this one. It isn’t trying to be anything it’s not and I love that.

Papa’s is my FAVORITE breakfast/brunch place in the Twin Cities. The quality is great and the prices are even better. The staff has been pretty consistent for a while and they are so kind and knowledgeable. I love Papa’s

Ordered breakfast, I’m always worried about take out quality. Some places send out dishes burnt, cold or thrown together without care. This is our first time eating here and the takeout was perfect! Food was hot, presented with care and most importantly DELICIOUS!!!! Our toddlers dug in and left empty plates, we all were very happy and full!! We found our new breakfast spot, we highly recommend. I can’t wait until we are able to enjoy eating in!

Dirty floors, walls restroom. Bits of trash under tables. The food was horrible, chorizo super salty, waaayyy too much cheese !! Omelette was about as thin as my hair!! My potatoes and our hash browns were horrible. Seemed like the potatoes may have been reheated from the previous day!! Well, the toast was edible. I left half of my food on the plate. Overpriced for this!! We had to keep finding a waitress for more lukewarm coffee. The

This is the best breakfast place in MN! Better than Fat Natts, better than cracker barrel, better than Perkins. They give you so much food for a great price. They dont advertise this, but they have the best pancakes in the world. I’m surprised they don’t brag about how good they are. This place beats all the fancy breakfast/brunch places in town. Nothing comes close.
