What I ordered vs What I got… Thought it could have been an off day so I tried again and I just don’t enjoy the food. The rice both times had absolutely no flavor at all. The whole beans were very good though.

We went in to enjoy a brunch. I ask my waitress if I could get the spinach enchiladas. I didn’t want the beans or rice. She went and asked. They told her I could get it. When I got my food it wasn’t what it was supposed to be. She told me she could take it back but by this time I don’t like to send food back. My guest had ordered chicken. Which it came back under cooked. I asked for the manager and she was not there. I had to wait on her because they didn’t have an assistant manager in store. The manager then proceeded to make excuses as to why my food wasn’t right. I explained to her that if they key it in shouldn’t the waitress confirm it with the kitchen staff to ensure it was done correctly. The only thing that was right was my sprite. My waitress had to bring me more silverware because mine was dirty. That should have been my first clue to leave. After talking to the manager she told me I could just leave. As if she was gonna stop me. My experience was the worst. I will put this in Dallas town talk and Gaston eats. I would have posted pics but it’s not giving me an option too.

Papa’s and Beer is one of our go-to Mexican restaurants! The servers are all so nice and you can’t beat the prices for how much food you get! Also, the salsa bar is amaaaaaazing ❤️ (My favorites are the two hottest ones.) You immediately get tortilla chips and bean dip after they take your drink orders (sometimes they’re quick with it and you get it right as soon as you sit down). But you have the salsa bar to grab your speed of salsa to use on the chips, too!
This place is great for parties, too! Plenty of table space. We’ve never had a party there, but we’ve witnessed many of them when we visited! We go pretty often.

We loved this place!! Visiting from California for a couple weeks and we went three times. Their salsa bar is fire, the service was amazing and everything tasted great. Well, the birria was a little more like mole to me, but it was a great experience.

Service was phenomenal, all the wait staff were extremely friendly. The food finished cooking very quickly, the portion sizes were huge, and the food was good quality as well. I got enchiladas and my husband got the tropical salmon plate which he said was fantastic. I also ordered a cocktail which was really delicious and we got the tableside guacamole – it was really cool to watch it be made right then and there!

Ordered the sizzling enchiladas, I asked for the cheese enchilada to be subbed for chicken, and instead they literally gave me an EMPTY ENCHILADA, called them and refused to accommodate their mistake in any way. Basically told me come back to the store and give back my food to get a new plate and no refund was able to be provided. Horrible customer service and when asked where their policy states no refunds can be given they told us “there is no policy” and this is what they “usually do”. Also told me there is no way to file a complaint, most they could do was take my number to give it to the owners. All this for the food to be overpriced and mediocre. Go somewhere else!

Really friendly workers & fast service. The food was really delicious. I had the chicken & shrimp fajitas and the california style seasoning was so good! The chips and dip were also really good. Exterior building is very nicely decorated, as well as the inside! even got a free T shirt! great place!

Some of the best Mexican in NC. Please move to the Triad! The prices are better and the food is better, especially fajitas. Steak and chicken are seasoned and large slices not small slivers. The Salsa bar is great! Shrimp are seasoned and larger than most Mexican restaurants. You will pay more for less and less quality at other Mexican restaurants.
