When we first entered, it wasn’t clear what to do or where to go until someone told us to sit wherever. After we ordered, we were asked to move to another table to make room for an incoming party of eight. While we were told we didn’t have to, it felt like we really didn’t have a choice. We were originally offered a comped meal, which was quickly backtracked into a free dessert as compensation.
The food itself was hit or miss. The mozzarella was excellent, but there was hardly any marinara. The whipped ricotta was completely overshadowed by burnt toast. The chicken Marsala was average at best, while the spicy rigatoni was the only dish that stood out.
The service was consistently below average. At one point, I had to get up and grab silverware from another table because our server was nowhere to be found. He seemed more focused on the party we were displaced for—even though they didn’t arrive until 30 minutes after we’d been moved. When he was at our table, he was polite, but it was obvious we weren’t a priority.
Dessert only highlighted the poor experience. The cannolis came wrapped in tinfoil, which felt cheap for a dine-in service. Since the restaurant uses the Toast system, we couldn’t see the bill before paying and had to ask for a receipt just to confirm the dessert had actually been comped. It hadn’t been—until we pointed it out.
The woman who asked us to move (presumably the manager) never checked in or thanked us for our flexibility. She only reappeared to show the dessert had finally been “taken care of,” still without an apology and with an unpleasant attitude. Our total was $113 for one of the most lackluster meals I’ve ever had.
Between the mediocre food, inattentive service, and dismissive management, this is not a restaurant I would ever recommend. I’ll be making a point to advise others to avoid it as well.

Great service, tasty food in a very inviting atmosphere. I had the strombolie and a couple of slices of different pizzas at our table. All had worthy flavors.

We sat on the patio with our pups and had the cob salad and shared an uncle Louie pizza. The food was good. However, The server didn’t tell us the Ice tea was flavored passion fruit and no warning that the pizza was very spicy to much so for our 3 yr old. One person in our party ordered the salmon BLT and she said it was good.

We had a fantastic early dinner here last night and it was truly a delightful experience. We chose to sit outside by the cozy fireplace. The service was exceptional-attentive, friendly, and timely, making us feel completely taken care of throughout the evening.
The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was perfectly prepared, and we couldn’t find a single thing to complain about. Every bite was a treat, and we truly enjoyed every part of the meal.

I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Crust Simply Italian in Scottsdale! Just had a late lunch at Crust, more like rust that’s how long i had to wait for service. Arrived little before 3 but waited at least 20min before being acknowedged after we were told to sit anywhere. Finally the server greets us you need anything to drink, oh you need menus, yes hello. Food is good NY cheese pizza good, our pasta dishes were good. Our calamari was oh wait we never got it …rust, i told the server cancel it and no reply no oops forgot about it just ok. So the food is good the service like i said early like watching metal rust. I wanted to get lunch which is served till 3pm, but i asked at 3:15 and told no lunch is over, i missed the cutoff because the service was like rust, i wonder if this was done on purpose, server didn’t even see if they could check. I read another review that said this was not a goto for lunch as service is slow, so Crust for lunch its a pass unless you like you guessed Rust…

Only thing bad to say is I wish I came in person and didn’t order on uber eats. It was honestly the best pasta I’ve ever had no BS. I don’t even write reviews often, but I cook often for my family and just wanted some good pasta before a long run tomorrow and I could tell that the pasta was made fresh there. My kids loved the calzone which was huge. They probably could’ve shared one but the portions were so large everyone has lunch for tomorrow as well. Major shout out to the chefs at crust. I’ll definitely be bringing the family in person next time to get the full experience!
