Initial Experience and Follow-Up:
My recent visit to Papa Murphy’s was, frankly, an awful experience. I tried to place an online order for two pizzas but was told there were no more available pickup slots. When I called at 7:30 p.m., no one answered, even though the store’s closing time is listed as 8:00 p.m.
Upon arriving at the store around 7:40 p.m., the employees had already put away ingredients and were ready to refuse our order. I understand wanting to get a head start on closing, but you simply don’t do that an hour before closing time. They begrudgingly agreed to make us a single pizza but refused to honor any coupons or the advertised $9.99 pepperoni special.
The two pizzas I had planned to order online would have cost $26, yet they charged us $19.46 for just one pizza. The way they treated us was completely disrespectful. The pizza itself was thrown together carelessly; the toppings were uneven and looked like they had been scattered on half-heartedly. The manager was already gone, so we couldn’t address our complaints.
I have been a loyal Papa Murphy’s customer for 20 years and have never felt so disrespected. I hope the young men working that night, especially the one whose name was on the receipt, Mason, receive better training.
A Manager Who Cares
Thankfully, after I wrote a review online, the store manager, Hunter, called me the very next day. He wanted to hear my full account, so I had my wife explain what happened. Hunter listened and, without hesitation, offered us a free replacement pizza of our choice.
I really commend Hunter for his excellent customer service. He took ownership of the issue, contacted me directly, and went out of his way to make things right. Hunter, you did a great job. Thank you.

Always great deals and fresh pizza. Do this twice a month or when ever I don’t feel like cooking and we have guests or when I hadn’t used all my cal fresh. Wish I had one of these in shafter or closer to pick up. I think that 8pm is very early for pizza place to close.

Amazing experience every single time I order. All of the staff is professional and friendly. Especially today when they went out of their way to remake a pizza that had been ordered wrong (my fault). The pizzas are very loaded with toppings and are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Papa Murphy’s Pizza. Tuesday $12 pizzas is an unbelievable and unbeatable deal.

Although the food was fine, this location double charged me for my order. After 3 attempts, they failed to correct the problem. Each time I called them, they committed to correct the problem, but each time they never followed through. I’ll not return to this location! Very poor customer service!

High quality ingredients for superb taste, abundant toppings, evenly distributed toppings, friendly staff, and extreme value. Easy to bake for a fresh crisp crust. I bake a regular crust pizza for 8 min on the tray at 425 and then separate the crust from the pan by lifting the edge with a spatula as I turn the pizza in the oven using tongs. I then slide the loosened pizza off the pan onto the middle rack to complete the baking. Yummy and perfect every time!!

Purchased a pizza today and Tim was awesome. I had some specific request about how I wanted it made and he was very accommodating and courteous. He gave an appropriate wait time and the pizza was done when he said it would be. He was knowledgeable about the specials and wished me a great day.
