I recently visited this Papa John’s and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The employees on shift were extremely rude and came across as disgruntled and unprofessional. Customer service was clearly not a priority, and the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming.

What concerned me even more was seeing an employee preparing pizza while handling raw dough very roughly and without gloves. As a customer, that raised serious hygiene concerns for me and made me uncomfortable about the food preparation standards.

I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses both the customer service issues and food handling practices. A better attitude and attention to cleanliness would make a huge difference.

I placed an online order ahead of time for an 11:30 AM delivery for an office lunch meeting. At 11:43, the store called saying they had an issue with their delivery driver and had to switch to a DoorDash driver, and that the food should arrive by noon.

I tracked the DoorDash driver through the link they provided, and the poor driver had to wait almost 30 minutes at the store because the food still wasn’t ready. Completely unacceptable.

At 12:33, I received a text saying the order had just been picked up and would arrive at 12:45. The food didn’t actually arrive until 12:48 — more than an hour late for a scheduled office lunch.

They tried to apologize by offering a drink, which is fine, but you’d think that after ordering two large pizzas, the least they could do is provide a 2L Pepsi product. Instead, we ended up with a 20 oz Crush Orange. Seriously?

What makes this worse is that this is not the first time this location has had the exact same problem. You would think they’d have fixed these issues by now, but clearly nothing has improved. The management at this location clearly needs serious attention because this level of service is unacceptable.

Extremely unprofessional and unreliable. I would not recommend ordering from this location for any time-sensitive event.

I placed an order at 10.00 which is the regular time for store to be open . And when i got there to restaurant at 10.30 still the restaurant was closed .

And till 10.35 i waited there but than i person got there . And told me its going to take an 30 more minutes . Arrogantly

So I ordered two large pizzas and a 2 L of Pepsi and the pizzas got delivered to my hotel and the 2 L of Pepsi did not get delivered so I called the store back and asked them if they could refund it or deliver it and they said that they would have it delivered, and I waited an hour and they never delivered it. Then I called the store back again and asked to speak to the manager just asking if they were still planning on delivering the 2 L or if I could just go ahead and get a refund and he said no ma’am, you may not get a refund and we have talked to your boyfriend which my boyfriend is not even On this vacation and they told me that they had two deliveries before they would deliver my Pepsi 2 L and he told me that he would not give me the district manager‘s phone number after I ask him for the phone number to speak to to ask what they were going to do to resolve this issue I also asked for the corporate phone number and he told me no I will not give that to you and he hung up on me and was very rude and disrespectful. I do not appreciate This type of business and I just wanted my 2 L of Pepsi or a refund. That’s it something that I paid for I deserve to receive or get a refund for not receiving what I ordered and paid for. I would not suggest ordering anything from this establishment. This is the worst Papa John’s in the United States of America. Please be aware and do not order from this Papa John’s. If I could give it below one star, I definitely would the manager of this store. Very disrespectful and I will be getting a hold of corporate. I will investigate to get the phone number so that I can contact my lawyer and figure out how I can sue. This is ridiculous and this is a scam and they need to be put out of business and the manager needs to be fired. What a disgrace To this business to have a manager who disrespects and hangs up on people like this and tells lies so believe every bad review that you read on here because I can guarantee you they’re all absolutely true and not exaggerated. What a disappointment.

Might be the worst experience ive ever had, this place closes their online ordering hours before before they close. Then when you want to be nice and order in person for a pizza, they tell you order online acting like they don’t know what they did. I tried being nice about it, but the so called “manager” on 10-4-25 was so rude for no reason because I asked for a pizza she called the cops, even when there was no need. It was just very depressing because I was just asking for a simple order WAY before they closed and I was so disrespected. Theres a reason this place is rated so poorly,

Ordered two pizzas which arrived undercooked. Just raw dough under the cheese. Called and asked about it and the manager said “I don’t believe that.” Kept talking over me on the phone, claiming it was impossible. I said that papa John’s has a quality guarantee, which is widely posted on their website, and he said someone must have made that up. Skepticism and confrontation are interesting approaches to customer service.

The reviews don’t lie, and honestly 1 star is WAY MORE than they deserve. Came to Chicago for a 4 day weekend to see a concert, got back to the hotel at midnight (they’re “open” til 3am) and placed a DD order for pizza. An hour later it hadn’t even been made yet. Tried calling the store twice to see what was happening, and nobody even answered (so even if ya tried to call in an order, it wasn’t gonna happen) Checked Google reviews, contacted DD and they were able to give me the full refund after explaining the situation. Told DD that I was, by far, NOT the first person to have this issue and specifically asked what needs to be done to remove this specific store them from their platform seeing as their only positive reviews are from almost 2 YEARS AGO! (Actively a 4.3 out of 5 on DD as of writing this)

I’ll take partial blame for not reading the Google reviews and just going on DD reviews, but it’s actually hysterical how far the people there will go NOT to do their job.

Literally the worst experience I have had at Papa John’s. I waited over 2 hours for my pizza and it was never delivered.

I ordered around 12:20AM on the mobile app for delivery to the nearby hotel I was staying at, and the wait was a bit long. An hour went by and the door dash driver the store assigned to me they were still waiting that the store was busy. Then near 2 hours the driver dropped my order and I was assigned a new driver. The second driver told me they were extremely busy and said they were barely moving orders out. They recommended I cancelled my order. I tried calling the store several times, but it went to voice mail every time. I called DoorDash to cancel the delivery but they informed me I had to cancel through papa John’s because it was through them. Fortunately, the online complaint form worked and the bank did not charge my card when I woke up.

I wish I looked at the reviews prior to ordering, but this place is a scam. They’re not going to be open for long. I’ve always had good experiences with papa John’s, but this one sucked.
