I am so over Papa John’s. Look at my picture , this is how my pizza was delivered to me and the cheese not only was falling into the box, but it looked like plastic. Please don’t waste your money on this Please. I don’t know how they’re staying in business. They have got the worst service ever. Our pizza went right in the trash $20 down the toilet. Got two pizzas today. One the garlic sauce was crushed in the box and leaked all over my truck. Additionally, it was not the garlic stuffed crust pizza. The second pizza wasn’t even cut, it was a xl so the cut it right down the middle and put it in two boxes, never bothered cutting it again. Little ceasers is across the street, seasons/pats/pizza hut right down the road, dont bother with papa John’s, they are absolute trash anymore.

01-27-2023 – UPDATED REVIEW: Just don’t!
I am disgusted with the quality of my order I received. I ordered my same item, Gluten-free pizza with extra cheese, and was shocked to see the major differences between my past orders at this location in Bear, DE. The staff that was working wasn’t and didn’t seem to care what they were doing or saying. I asked for the manager and the lady snapped at me saying “she left to other store, I’m in charge now.” ughhhh…. That tells me NEVER AGAIN will I return to the Bear, DE location. GF pizzas are expensive and I do NOT intend on wasting my money, time, and energy with a crew that makes unnecessary “mindless” mistakes. *New pictures added and dated to separate the reviews. So long Bear, DE Papa Johns!
01-17-2023 – The Papa Johns location in Bear Delaware makes a delicious gluten-free pizza. The staff has been consistent with perfecting my GF pizza every time with a crispy crust while mastering to add the right amount of extra cheese I love. The price is reasonable for a GF pizza crust. This location is the only one that has been able to cook it correctly, so it tastes amazing and they actually cut it all the way through. The store is always clean when I visit. I appreciate how the manager and staff are respectful to my gluten-free diet, very friendly, and helpful. Thank you for providing me with excellent customer service.

I ordered a pizza no sauce stuff crust with extra cheese and boneless wings but didn’t get exactly this. Got regular stuffed crust cheese pizza with sauce and boneless wings in wings. I received text my order was ready for pick up and wasn’t started until I arrived at the store. I’m very very disappointed as we had thrown out this order since we don’t eat red sauce.

Do not waste your money at this location. I was told after an hour and a half that nobody knew where my pizza was or if it was even coming, was told to call back the next day if it didn’t come!!? It did finally arrive but whoever made it was apparently upset, they threw all the pepperoni on one side and my veggie lover pizza had hardly any veggies &all placed within an inch of the crust, the ENTIRE middle of the pizza was empty, sauce was barren & some slices literally had 2-3 inches of crust. To top it off when I was able to call next day because they were closed by time I got my food, one manager said she wasn’t surprised, multiple complaints that day from night before and bad staff issues, offered store credit then had a 2nd manager get on phone and tell me I had to bring the old pizza in for credit because they don’t trust their customers! Whole situation seems like a bad joke from a store that doesn’t value the quality of their food or customers time and $. Please save your time and choose somewhere else!

I ordered here often, over the last year its been going especially downhill. Delivery often takes over an hour, food is cold and often undercooked, pizza is uncut , and for some reason the plastic wings container was melted (I assume from a microwave). Do not order from here, go anywhere else.

Placed my order and it arrived in a timely fashion but that’s about the only thing they got right. First my order was wrong, ordered a large pizza with extra pepperoni, what I got was some under cooked abomination of a pizza with about a half an inch of cheese, even my girlfriend who likes extra cheese said it was disgusting. Called the store and they send out another pizza that was supposed to be my correct order but guess what. They somehow still added way too much cheese compared to how papa John’s pizza is at every other location and it was a stuffed crust pizza. Still not what I ordered. Tried to give em a chance to make it right but they couldn’t even manage that. Don’t waste your time or money here as they either simply don’t care or are too incompetent to make the pizza you ordered.

I often come here after the gym it is right next door, and I do not know what has changed, but on June 11 at 11:40 I was given just a great pizza I usually like the price and taste, I have to lower the rating it was 5 stars but the pizza is good once another time just disgusting today June 17 it was successful toppings on half the pizza pineapple I didn’t put at all
