I get delivery from time to time. The food is always terrible. The pasta is over cooked. The sauce is broth. The veal is a small portion and tough. The calamari is tough. The salad is iceberg lettuce, fresh enough, with a tomato and an olive and piece of onion.

Better than 4.5 stars. Food is well prepared and large portions. Pizza is almost as good as NJ( I still think it’s a water thing). Been a staple dinner location for us for a few years now and never dissatisfied.

Hands down this is the worst restaurant in Lexington. The waitress had an attitude from the minute we arrived and tried to get us to sit in the lobby area where the staff were cooking and not in the dinner room. Her explanation was that they just cleaned the area. Then when she finally got a place in the dining room picked out for us, she expected us to bring the menus and silverware she had thrown down in a pile at the table that we were temporarily waiting at. We were the only table there for a while and it surprised us at first being it was a weekend night. The waitress acted like they were closing soon when in reality they were closing in several hours. She took our orders and then never seemed to know or remember who got what..in fact she had to ask us for our orders all over again. We had to ask for things multiple times before she would remember to get them for us. The waitress was rude, and didn’t seem to care about actually doing her job. The food was pricey and was not worth it. We will never go back and certainly will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Now we know why it wasn’t busy and wished we had read the prior reviews because we wouldn’t have gone. It was a terrible experience.

Dined here for the first time last night and it was wonderful! Our server was so sweet and the food was awesome – best cheese pizza I’ve ever had! Also loved their garlic knots.. Can’t wait to visit again

Bruschetta appetizer was great, and the server Savannah was kind and attentive. She was cutting up lettuce, taking orders for tables/to go. You could tell she was working hard. While waiting for our food there was people in the back yelling saying they were quitting. My husband got the Chicken and Shrimp La Rosa… the shrimp was not seasoned, and it was incredibly bland. When it came out I first thought it was a soup because it was sitting in a puddle of white wine reduction I think? I had the meat lovers calzone and it tasted like marshmallows in certain bites- no idea why. Overall super disappointed.

Plates were dirty don’t know if they got a bad dishwasher or what to be honest. The dude washing dishes has curly hair but I don’t know his name. There was hair on my plates and they looked really dirty also. I could tell that they had not been washed thoroughly and my wife and kids noticed too.

Yikes! Always love Papa Gios food. Decided to dine in and wish we hadn’t. My wife and I were the only diners for about 30 minutes. The waitress seemed more occupied with handling business in an office just off the bar, than waiting our table. Ordered a sampler starter, which came out crispy on the outside and still frozen on the inside. The pizza we ordered was good, but not what we’re accustomed to from previous done out experiences. We will continue to order from this restaurant, but dine in may not be an option.

Went there for the last time. My husband asked for heavy on the sauce, which they did but when we got the bill we found out they charged $3.00 for extra sauce. The meal was priced high to begin with.

Our waiter was very polite. But it was all alittle slow. I finished eating before the other two people i was with even got their food. But the food was very good. The cheese sticks came on a plate with lettuce under it which i didn’t understand. We asked another waiter for sauce. He said he would tell our waiter but never did.

Papa Gio’s in Lexington is super legit. They import their dinner rolls from Jersey and sandwich rolls from Florida. The pizza was legit too. I had the linguine pescatore and it was super fresh. The seafood tasted like it was fresh off the boat. For starters we had the appetizer sampler, calamari with fried pepperocini peppers and a small pizza. This plus our dinners plus Gelato for the girls and a long pour espresso for me was only $130. Great service, amazing food, and a full bar. So so so so legit.
