Wow, what a diamond in the rough. This place is serving scratch-made ice cream in the house. All of the ones we tried were excellent. I had the baileys and coffee, the jack and coke which both tasted like the real deal. Both had a wonderful flavor. The kids got the vanilla, the Butterfinger, the Reece’s, the cotton candy, and the cookies and cream. All were excellent. If you get a waffle cone get a cup because it melted through the cone. This place is worth the visit. Support local!

What an awesome surprise when we stopped for a restroom break!! We saw this place nextdoor to a fastfood restaurant and the cool outdoor murals got our attention. Inside is an amazing mix of antiques and new memorbelia. So many things to look at !! Service was great and the ice cream was so fresh and delish!! Make a point to stop at Papa D’s, you won’t be dissapointed. This will soon be a Lone Star State landmark

Beautiful place to sit at and eat ice cream. Awesome customer service super clean the whip cream was something amazing sooo damn good. I am not a whip cream girl but its worth it. They also have alcohol infused ice cream you must show your i.d. and they even have some keto and diabetic friendly ice cream all home made. This place is a texas hidden gem

We drove by and decided to stop in. Wow! We loved ice cream. I’m diabetic and had the keto/diabetic friendly chocolate, it was delicious. The lady that helped us was so friendly and took the time to show us everything they have. There’s cheesecake, pudding, shakes, ice cream and they also have food. We loved the decor. We would definitely come by again and would recommend this place.

We were on a motorcycle ride and decided to stop in Post for some lunch. We came across Papa D’s. The look on the outside of the building is so fun and makes you want to see what they have going on inside! And we were not disappointed!! The inside was just as amazing as the outside. The ice cream is delicious! My favorite to get when we go somewhere is the watermelon and they have so many other flavors that I cannot wait to come back and try them all! The ladies inside were so sweet and very happy they did a great job!! Will definitely recommend this to anyone who is passing through Post, Texas!

The service is great. The person I talked to was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the town and the services they provide.
The place is nicely lit, and the art and decor of it is spiffy. The parking is accessible, and there are lots of stores near by to walk around while you eat the ice cream or what have you.
The menu is large, so you should be able to find something you want or four. The ice cream is excellent. Price a bit high, but well worth it.

It’s a shame not to stop by this place if you’re passing through town! Lovely ladies with amazing homemade ice cream. I’d have a picture, but I ate half of it before the thought occured to me. For fans of butter pecan, their boozy version is delicious!
