Was in town for the Rodeo and staying close bye, we wanted authentic PoBoy so we stopped in for dinner. Ordered the classic shrimp small/regular with fries. There were 5 small pieces luke warm with a slap of sauce on the bottom of bun, fries were barely warm. The Turkey PoBoy was perfect, steaming in fact it was so hot. I know they had younger adults working in the kitchen because they kept coming out to talk to the other staff at the counter and checking themselves in the mirror rather than paying attention to the food. Big disappointment for authentic food in Louisiana. Waitress was friendly, place was very clean and seemed like great place to eat with a nice selection on the menu. I will have chosen something different next time.

Wanted to try a new place. The food was something you could make at home. They were out of what w3 wanted. They didnt have a fryer to fry things out of the shrimp. Couldn’t get mushrooms. The muffelata was not good no oil taste and only 1 meat. Was hoping better.

I have always loved the original location in Shreveport. Although there is much more seating at this location, the food was a disappointment. The order was a half and half basket with fried shrimp and crawfish with cheese curds appetizer and a side salad. All the fried foods were overcooked. This made the shrimp and crawfish rubbery and the curds exploded cheese everywhere. I have always ordered the huge hamburgers at Shreveport and have always been delighted. I won’t be returning to the Bossier City location. Overall, this meal was subpar for even a fast food restaurant, let alone a dine in experience. It’s too far to drive for me, but I wouldn’t return even if they were around the corner. The $60 meal was hardly touched. I am not impressed at all.

Went in a little after 1pm for lunch. Did not enjoy the dine in experience. The customer service needs some work. I greeted the 2 cashiers as I entered. As I approached the register, 1 asked if I was dining in, and I stated yes, and she said I could seat myself. They weren’t busy on the inside but there was a delay in being brought a menu. By the time the lady walked over with the menu I didn’t need it. Told her my order that I had looked up from online menu on my phone. She repeated the order 2. Went to the back, then came back to confirm my order again and called out the wrong thing but I said that it would be fine. My burger was fine. The fries were covered in way too much seasoning. The ladies were polite when I addressed them but they were not friendly. They didn’t seem to want to be there. If I go back, will probably order my food to go.

The best burger in Shreveport is now the best burger in Bossier, too! We decided to make the drive the check it out, cautious with our expectations but delighted to find the food was as good as the original location.
The sign on the door cautioned an expected hours’ wait, but we had our food in about 30 minutes. The place was busy but not packed (this was about 7pm on a Wednesday) but I imagine during peak lunch and dinner hours it is probably a much longer wait. But that is just a testament to how good it is. It’s definitely worth the drive and worth the wait, and with the much more friendly hours at the Bossier location, I anticipate many, many trips back.
The onion rings are a better choice than the fries, but if you get fries, I recommend getting cheese or something else on them. I didn’t love the cajun fries, seemed more like a seasoning with spice and not much flavor was sprinkled on them. I enjoy spicy, but I prefer some good flavor notes to accompany that, and it not be spicy just for the sake of being spicy. They weren’t bad, mind you, but the onion rings were just so much better.

The fish & shrimp basket was really good. Crispy but not greasy. There was an upcharge because my husband and I split the meal. I will say that the place needed some cleaning. We tried to find a booth to sit in but they were all dirty with crumbs on table, booth seats and floor. The 2 ladies at the front desk blamed someone in the back who eventually came out to pick up some dishes left from previous customer and left the other booths unwiped.

Not a bad place for your lunch hour. The burgers are good and one day I hope to retry the grand papa challenge since I was so close to finishing it at the Shreveport location. The fries are factually better than Five Guys by merit that they aren’t soggy messes and have a balanced seasoning.
I don’t recommend the muffaletta. The one I got was soggy and salty, as if they didn’t drain the olives before putting them on the sammich. Other than that the place has been a good balance of quality and price.
