The centerpiece of any dining experience, the Restaurant left me with mixed feelings. The dishes I sampled were decent but failed to stand out as exceptional. The flavors were passable, lacking the boldness and authenticity that one might expect from a Mexican eatery. While it’s true that taste preferences vary, it would have been helpful if the flavors were more distinct and memorable. Unfortunately, the lack of standout dishes left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed.
Customer Service: Exemplary and Attentive
One aspect that truly stood out was the customer service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. The staff members were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to assist with any inquiries or requests. They demonstrated professionalism and were prompt in catering to our needs throughout the evening. The exceptional customer service undoubtedly added a positive touch to the overall dining experience. (Their own kids)
Menu Options: Overwhelming Variety
boasts an extensive menu with a vast array of options to choose from. While variety can be appealing to some, in this case, it became overwhelming. The extensive selection made it challenging to navigate and decide on a dish, as it lacked a focused direction. A more concise and curated menu could have highlighted the restaurant’s specialties and allowed for a more streamlined dining experience. The vast options may have resulted in a compromise in the overall quality and cohesion of the dishes.
Price: An Exorbitant Culinary Investment
One significant drawback was the pricing. Regrettably, the price of the dishes did not align with the overall quality. The cost of the meal felt disproportionate, and considering the average taste and presentation of the dishes, it left me feeling dissatisfied. While it is reasonable to expect a certain level of premium pricing in a restaurant setting, the high prices seemed excessive in relation to what was ultimately delivered.

I found myself in Buffalo for the infamous Longmire Days event and this place stood out to me. I liked the outdoor seatings which is pleasantly quiet and well positioned. I ordered “grandma’s favorite” which is a mixed veggies with choice of meat over a bed of rice. Now, I know it wasn’t exactly an authentic Mexican dish, but I think grandma knew a thing or two about freshness. I was looking to get lots of fiber in me so this was the perfect choice. The vegetables were fresh and well seasoned and shrimp was properly cooked. Chips and salma were pretty good as well. The salsa has a little kick to it which I liked a lot.
The service could be improved but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. My server is a bright young woman who has interests in photography. I hope she continues to improve her skills and never stop learning.
I have no complaints about the price. Considering every hotel in town doubled the rates for the event, I appreciate that this restaurant didn’t go crazy.
If I find myself in Buffalo again, I’m hoping to stop by for another grandma’s favorite. Cheers!

We enjoyed a great experience in the patio area of Papa Binos. The service was fantastic. We had three people checking on us and taking care of our needs. My wife and I had Margaret’s on the rocks and they were very good. We both ordered the enchilada suiza. My wife got the shredded chicken and I had shredded beef. The presentation was excellent and the taste was very good. This family is working hard to provide a nice dining experience and they do it well. Yes we would certainly return.

Food was good, table service was average. Once we got the bill we were charged $16 for two small bowls of chips and salsa which was the equivalent price of an additional dinner. Upon bringing the issue up we were told the menu that said chips and salsa were free for dine in customers had not been updated to reflect recent price changes. Don’t think so. Not impressed and won’t be back.

Great food and prices. Service was really good and the iced tea perfect. The outdoor dining was very nice. This is not a fancy place and that’s fine by me. Excellent chips and salsa and all six of us really enjoyed our meals.

My wife and I were travelling through Buffalo and stopped here. Both of us were very happy we did! She’s a vegetarian and they were on it, they know what they’re doing in that department. As for me, I tried the chile colorado and it was perfect. A subtle, sweet spice, slow-acting… a home run. Beautiful patio, nice on the inside too. The family all hang out, which is cute! They’re eventually going to raise most of the animals they use for their meals, which I for one think is great and imo closer to the model of meat production and consumption we as a society should strive for… but I digress. Definitely a great Mexican food gem here at the foot of the Bighorns!

This place was recommended by owner of the hotel we stayed at (who’s from California, so we very much trusted her recommendation), and we could not have been more pleased with this place! The service was wonderful, the food was excellent, and they were nothing but accommodating throughout the meal. I love that their whole family contributes to running the place – it was so heartening and something you don’t see much anymore. I will definitely be going back my next time visiting Buffalo!
