We got the lasagna dinner. It came with a big portion of lasagna, garlic bread, and I got a side Caesar salad, all for about $40 with tip. They didn’t have garlic bread, they offered us “garlic bowls”. They ended up being oversized flour-and-water sorry excuses of rolls? Mini loaves? With some butter on the side. So doughy and dense.
Lasagna was not much better. Cheese on top was burnt, and the layout was weird. The pasta was extremely doughy and overcooked… and folded? It looked like a lasagna pie: 2 layers of folded pasta right on top of each other, ricotta cheese, meat sauce, then burnt cheese on top. This was disgusting, way overpriced, and that’s just the food.
When we went inside to pick up our food, middle school-aged kids filled our order, while elementary school children were in the back of the kitchen.
What’s going on? Super gross, weird atmosphere, just a no.

Revolting frozen pizza crust. The “large” only filled half the box no flavor, canned bacon bits.. so called Buffalo wings had no sauce and were just dry fried wings. Completely undercooked but the crust is black from a dirty oven underneath but the dough is raw. Will never order again, I don’t know how they have been in business so long with the word Pizza in the name when this is the product. Avoid at all costs.

Nice rustic atmosphere. Very eclectic. Food was good quantity and quality. A family fave or a nice place to hang out with friends. We will be back. A short drive to the base of Mt. Hood.

I believe they said they were closing in a few days. It was my first time visiting. We ordered a side of cheese bread, a main dish of ravioli, and a side of fries. This was all split between my young son and I. The cheese bread was great, and the fries were too. The Ravioli was terrible. The pasta appeared to be microwaved and had what tasted like pizza sauce on top. The ravioli being a main dish seemed odd that it didn’t come with any sides, but oh well. Can say that the service was top notch. Our server was kind and split the single main coarse onto two plates. She checked in several times and had a great warm and welcoming personality. The atmosphere is unique with many antiques and a fun historic feel to it. Sadly I do not think I would order food there again however I saw a bar across the way so because of the great service and atmosphere I’d definitely return again (without my kid) and throw a few back.

Edit 07/09/2020: Decided to order online. My order was canceled soon after (assume it was due to lack of delivery service, no big deal). Picked the taco pizza. Taco pizza was horribly dry, beans were dry. Everything was dry despite the cheese stuck to the top of the cardboard container. No cannolis available. Baked spaghetti was good, if not very rudimentary. Completely different experience this time around. Consistency does not appear to be a thing unfortunately 🙁

They went out of their way to make a prime rib meat stromboli. Never tried stromboli before but it was freakin’ amazing. Boyfriend got the Veggie Stromboli. Both turned out great. The au jus for dipping was the perfect combo. Planning on trying their pizza and Ravioli tonight. Can’t wait!

Bought a gift card from here around 6 years ago or longer. For some reason, when I finally was able to use it as I lived out of state, it did not work. However they decided to honor it, Grace, went above and beyond. We drove 40 minutes get their amazing Taco pizza, and they did not let us down. Amazing atmosphere, very small town feel, which I love. Definitely recommend.

It was a great place to end our adventure. The pizza was yummy but the service was the best I’ve had anyplace in a long time.

First time at Paolas and definitely my last. Went later in the evening and the place was almost empty. Took over an hour to get the food. The waiter was eating in the back and kept coming out to the bar chewing food. The food wasn’t even edible. The French dip had cold roast beef and one little pepper slice on it. The fries were undercooked and soggy. The waiters were friendly but didn’t know much about good service. Never did they check in or mention the food taking over an hour. Asked for a box to go and the waiter went and emptied the tip jar and started counting it up and “forgot” to get the boxes. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review but it’s been a while since I’ve been to a place that’s all around this bad.

The focus here is the pizza and at first glance the pizza once it arrived was loaded with our toppings of choice and glistened with cheese. Unfortunately the pizza had a flavor that reminisced previous experiences with frozen pizza. Perhaps a few more minutes in the oven would off set that flavor? BTW it did re heat nicely in a pan! The mozzarella sticks were plentiful and were accompanied by a zesty sauce loaded with fennel which elevated the dish nicely. The same goes for the chicken wings. They arrived hot and crispy with sauces on the side for you to choose from…I know they were busy the day we visited (11.12.2023) but the staff were kind at all times.

Pizza was really good. They give you a ton of mozzarella sticks, not the standard 6. Cheese bread was eh..
Sat upstairs and loved the privacy.
If you have 3+ people just order individual sodas as the pitcher only fills 3 cups and costs more.
Servers were very friendly.
