The Rudd family have taken the dining experience in Floyd to a new level! Breakfast was amazing! Zuppa Tuscano, Garden Salad with a poached egg, and the icing on the cake was a Thanksgiving Crepe with mashed potatoes, turkey, stuffing and cranberries with a side of fried potatoes.

John was great! Super accommodating and made my wife and I feel like we were just two people in his personal dining room.
For dinner I had the braised short ribs and it was tender and flavorful. My wife had the Chicken spinach artichoke with rice. She was hesitant to get it, but in the end she really enjoyed the meal and was glad she got it. Would highly recommend this bistro. Also don’t be afraid to try the chocolate tea!

Pantoufle’s Bistro is an absolute gem, and I cannot recommend it enough! From start to finish, the owners went above and beyond to make my vision for my friend’s bridal shower a reality. Their dedication, hospitality, and attention to detail were unmatched, making the entire experience seamless and truly special.

I wanted a tea party-themed bridal shower, and they embraced my vision wholeheartedly. They curated a delightful selection of finger foods that not only looked beautiful but tasted incredible. From delicate tea sandwiches to perfectly baked pastries, every bite impressed our guests. The menu was thoughtfully crafted, and the quality of ingredients was evident in every dish.

One of the aspects that made the event even more special was the flexibility and generosity of the owners. They allowed us to have the space for the entire afternoon, giving us plenty of time to set up and decorate to our heart’s content. This made all the difference in ensuring the event felt well-planned and stress-free. It’s rare to find a venue that offers such personal care and commitment to making an event as perfect as possible.

Beyond the food and space, it was the warmth and kindness of the owners that truly stood out. They were a joy to work with—attentive, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making the event a success. Their passion for hospitality shines through, and it’s clear that they take great pride in creating memorable experiences for their guests.

If you’re looking for a venue that offers outstanding service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere, Pantoufle’s Bistro is the perfect choice. I am incredibly grateful for their hard work in bringing my vision to life, and I would not hesitate to host another event with them in the future!

Pantoufle’s Bistro is right in the heart of downtown Floyd, and it’s full of charm from the moment you arrive. They have an old sewing machine at the front door as a doorstop, which is just the cutest detail and really sets the tone for the whole place.
Inside, the restaurant is bright, open, and welcoming. There’s a little chocolate drink shop connected to it, which makes it feel even more special.
Coming to the food, the food is super delicious. The chorizo and queso bowl is so good, it’s now one of my favorites. The potatoes were crispy, well-seasoned with the spicy chorizo, and the poached egg on top brought a perfect balance of texture and taste. We also ordered a ham and cheese crepe with egg and mulligatawny soup, which was so flavorful. As an Indian, I really appreciated the nice tamarind taste in the soup it completely hit the spot.
From one chef to another, you are creating magic in Floyd, VA. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

The food was amazing! Wow! It was the best salad and soup of the day I have ever had. In addition to standard options, there were clearly marked gluten free options including crepes. We had 2 gluten free desserts in Cocoa Mia’s as well that were fabulous and we took some handmade chocolates with!!

Restaurant has potential. Decor is beautiful and full of French vintage charm. Other than the owner/manager, the staff leaves you hanging waiting to greet or seat you. A nice hello with a smile and a “we’ll be right with you” would be nice. I have had the same awkward entry/welcome both times I’ve dined indoors. The woman who seemed to be the hostess never once smiled not made us feel welcome. When asked if we had a reservation and we said no, she could have said no worries, or let me check, instead acted disapproving. Took a while to have a menu brought to us. Staff is comes across untrained(if they are being trained, it’s needing more work), let’s leave it at that. Food: soup and salad. Tomato soup was on the thin side, needed seasoning. Was accompanied by one very(baguette slice) small slice bread. Although when we asked for more bread, they over compensated by bringing out a whole plate of toasted bread several minutes later(maybe serve more bread to begin with). Salad there is always fresh and probably their strong suit.

I’ve dined inside twice before, as well as outside twice, so a total of 4 times. The experience outside is always nicer. Inside, the manager/owner always smiles and tries hard, but it’s almost like he’s apologizing and making up for his staffs unpolished experience. When our server brought the bill she never came back to collect it with my CC. I had to walk it to the register. This restaurant needs work to improve it’s service experience. Staff could use roleplay exercises. I will return here again and if I have a better experience, I’ll change my review.

My biggest beef here is the staff makes you feel unwelcome (no smiles, lack of attention to you and makes one feel unseen and like we are burden). Staff needs to check on patrons shortly after the meal is served at least once to make sure nothing else is needed.

We had the beef short ribs, Butter Chicken, and the Seafood curry, was some of the best food we have had in a long, long time 10/10 if your in the Floyd v.a area you must go there and try the food the owner is very nice and so is the wait staff.

Got a sneak preview of this new restaurant and I love it so much! Excellent addition to the Floyd food scene. Really elevated and thoughtful flavor combinations. Family run and they’re such sweet people too. Food made with love!

Ps. this is Day 1 of my campaign to ask for their mole enchiladas to be on the main menu so I can eat it once a day

What a delightful restaurant! We had a delicious brunch on a Saturday. My smoked salmon Benedict was wonderful, & the homemade English muffins were perfectly fluffy. Also had a matcha latte & a yummy blueberry scone. We came back and picked up chocolate truffles, hot cocoa mix, chocolate tea & cake! The owner is so nice & does an amazing job. We will definitely be back next time we are in Floyd. Highly recommend!

A great spot in Floyd. Their menu is smaller, but everything is delicious. The prices are really good for the food quality as well. Some times it’s easy to get a walk in seat, but other times it was reservation only, so if you’re going at a busier time, definitely get reservations ahead.
