Tried Paninos on 02.28.26 for the first time and let me tell you it will be the last. Ordered a beef with cheese and a beef and sausage combo. As you can see from the pics the sausage was undercooked and the beef was burnt. When we ordered we asked for sweet peppers and was told they don’t have sweet peppers. Really? How do you have beef and don’t have sweet peppers? If you can’ make a decent beef or cook sausage properly there is no way I would try anything else from here. In addition the bread was doughy. Being from Chicago and having the likes of AL’s, Johnnies and Mr. Beef, if you want to pretend that you’re an Italian Place you need to get it together. As far as service goes the wait in the drive thru was long. We did not go inside. Very disappointing

This is definitely NOT ITALIAN. NO TASTE.
Not sure what ingredients used for Meatballs and Sausage casing is SOOOOO tough, cannot cut with a knife. Sauce is reallyyyuy bland. And who eats Meatball Sandwich on SIDT BREAD. Only the proper way is a Crunchy Sub Bun. Not even considering of ordering any PASTA dish. I’m sure sauce would be SOOOOO bland. No TRUE ITALIAN SPICES.
Not even considering of ever ordering again.

Even OLIVE GARDEN uses better seasoning.

I was pleasantly surprised that it has not changed terribly much with the new ownership. they have added an All American burger which is kind of questionable to me. But the owner thinks that’s gonna help him.So that’s okay. i love the pasta. and the bread seemingly has not changed. i do miss the old owners because they were so sweet and nice. the staff is just fine, but they’re not quite as good as the old owners were. still a rockford jewel

This used to be a go to place. Their food is good but the quality has gone down drastically. I ordered a chicken rancher and after two bites realize there was no chicken. I ordered pumpkin bars.
There was a full piece to a half a piece charged the same $4
I complained at the window about the size of the bars I bought five of them…
When I started to eat my sandwich and realize there was no chicken I took it back and the bars as well It was a $32 order. I don’t mind paying a little more for something and getting a good quality I do mind paying for something that is half there. Or not there. The manager was very nice about the whole thing and refunded my money of course it will take 5 to 7 days The as it was on a card

Watching the employees banter while my food is cooling down-fine. Watching one cook repeatedly play with his hair and not wash his hands after-gross. Watching an employee come back from the bathroom to get paper towels to dry washed hands with dry hands-disgursting. Employee went into the kitchen and obviously had not washed after going into the bathroom. I was so grossed out, i just had to leave and not worry about a refund

I give it 3/5 stars. Fast and friendly service. The minestrone was more like vegetables dropped in marinara—too tomatoey. Would not re-order. I did the sampler, interesting mix of Alfredo plus Lasagna over spaghetti.

All in all, roughly $16 in damage.

I much appreciated the drive-thru.

When I want to grab something quick this place hits the spot. Thr only reason I give them a 4 is because I wish I could get a full hot sub. Other than that. . . The bread is to die for! They are fast and soooo friendly! Wonderful place!!

Did not get the side order of giardinara. Not a huge mistake, but the person I got it for is in the hospital and I made a special trip. Very annoying. Yeah, we can give a name and get the “next one” for free, but how does that help? Right now, it doesn’t. I guess more training and paying attention to detail would help. Sandwiches were good. Soup was not hot but we took care of that, too.

My wife and I frequently visit Panino’s on State. We meet for our lunch breaks at least once a week.

The location is not only convenient for us but the food and service is always excellent!

We’ve never had anything we didn’t like. The baked mostaccioli is AMAZING! It is my wife’s current favorite and the lasagna is like something you would get at a very upscale sit down restaurant. It is far beyond fast food quality.

You can’t go wrong with a Panizza and for desert, they have the most delicious cheese cake we’ve ever had!

Anyone who’s ever been there will tell you that they have the best bread around.

If you haven’t been, do yourself a huge favor and try it out. You will be happy you did!

We ordered through doordash last night. We got a sandwich, which was good. A side salad that was good. Garlic bread was a little overcooked. But fine. Then the pasta. We got lasagna and Mostaccoili. Both were horrible. The sauce tasted like they had opened a can of plain unseasoned spaghetti sauce and dumped it on our food. Absolutely disgusting. We couldn’t eat our pastas. Today I will try to fix it so I can actually eat what I paid for. I will not be ordering again
