Pangea is a wonderful gem located in a prime spot downtown. They have a unique and delicious blend of foods and fusion of flavors, and each dish also includes a suggested wine pairing of their top tier wines. I also ordered a cocktail that the bartender made custom based on the type of liquor that I wanted. We started with an appetizer of yuka balls filled with a warm creamy cheese and topped with a flavorful creamy sauce. We then ordered a three course meal for $55 which is an amazing deal. It included fresh salads or hearty soups; I got the beet and goat cheese salad and my husband got the rainbow carrots with a dressing that was reminiscent of curry. Our main entree was the green curry pork and a wagyu burger that I am going to dream about. Literally the best burger I have ever eaten. For dessert we got an ube cheesecake that was light and fluffy, and guava and cheese empanadas that were crispy, creamy, sweet and savory.
My only regret is that we haven’t eaten there sooner. I will definitely be back and I recommend you try this, as it’s one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time!

We heard of Pangaea but had never eaten there so decided to give it a try before our show at Carolina Theater. We let our waiter, Alex, know about our timing and he paced everything to make sure we’d finish in time. We started with a small plate of shrimp tacos to share. WOW! They were SO good, lightly fried with the perfect balance of fillings. I then chose their 3-course, $55 special that included salad, entree & dessert. I got a scrumptious carrot dish to start and shared with my table. Everyone raved! For entrees we had the wagyu smash burger with truffle fries, wild mushroom ravioli and Mahi-Mahi steamed in a banana leaf with citrus slices. Each dish was really special and so delicious. We also shared the molten chocolate cake topped with vanilla ice cream for dessert and it was the perfect way to end our meal! Also, not to overlook our drinks, the mule and vodka mix were great but the Alex Fashion was another level. Their own spin on an Old Fashioned left us wanting more (so we ordered a second glass to end the meal). All-in-all, great atmosphere, great food and great service , what else could you ask for? A true delight…don’t miss this culinary gem in downtown Greensboro!!

Tonight was our first time here and we absolutely loved it. My husband has the Wagu burger and I had rhe shrimp tacos. For an app we did the gnocchi and zucchini fries which were also amazing. It was reasonably priced too.

I finally got to stop by and order the Ube Cheesecake it’s rare to find this flavor and let me tell you it was so good. While we were waiting for out burger to be ready since we ordered that to go we sat at the bar section the employee’s were very welcoming and we decided to try the Ube dessert at the last minute and was well worth it. The vibe was relaxing while we waited on the burger it took about ten minutes and I will definitely be coming back to order the burger again, the meat was delicious not over cooked, I just loved the whole burger and the fries had a seasoning that added extra flavor. You have to try the Burger on the menu if you stop by. I was looking online at the pictures that were left in the reviews and saw the rice and shrimp and another item with seafood but the employee did explain the menu items sometimes change. Hopefully the items will get back on the menu in a few months. Pangaea was so delicious also the homemade ranch if you are a ranch dip lover ask for a side of it for the fries or to try.

I have already planned my order for the next time I’m here. The food and service are outstanding. Highly recommend the small plates menu. I ordered 4 small plates between 2 people.

Pangaea Bistro is, without question, one of Greensboro’s true culinary gems. From the moment you walk in, the space sets the tone — classy, warm, and effortlessly inviting. But it’s Alex and Juan who elevate the entire experience. Their hospitality is the kind you remember: attentive without hovering, genuinely kind, and clearly passionate about what they do.
The food? Exceptional. Every dish feels intentional and beautifully balanced. The carrot salad is a standout — bright, fresh, and layered with flavor in a way that surprises you. The green curry pork is rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying, the kind of dish that makes you pause after the first bite. Even the Waygu hamburger (yes, a burger!) is executed with such care that it rivals entrées at far more expensive restaurants.
And then there’s dessert. The mango and sweet potato cheesecake is unforgettable — silky, creative, and perfectly sweet without being heavy. It’s the kind of dessert you think about days later.
Pangaea Bistro delivers on every level: world‑class food, incredible service, and a refined, classy vibe that makes you want to linger. Greensboro is lucky to have a place like this, and I can’t wait to go back.

Meh! Way over rated. The beet salad was $17 bucks with canned beets. My husbands salad was wilted. The fried zucchini tasted like rotten oil. Everything was mediocre at best and way over priced.

Did the three course dinner with my wife. Good service. Great wine and alcohol selection. Food was all very fresh tasting and bursting with flavor. Large variety on the menu as well.
My only critique is assuming that this restaurant wants to “go further”. -> make the blend of the atmosphere, alcohol, and food more involved and interact with all of my senses.
Will be coming back!
