Before the Covid crisis, this Panera Bread was sensational. I used to go frequently because it was one of the best Panera I have visited. But something happened to this restaurant during the lapse of the pandemic. Maybe a change in management, I don’t know, but something serious happened inside. I went back to this Panera when the restaurants were permitted to reopen; it was not the same restaurant that it used to. From that point the place has gone down the hill and today is a third-world business on the roadside.

Our order wasn’t fulfilled they were out of things. We asked for items on the side, and they were put on the item. And my sandwich was nothing more than Bread and seasoned meat all the other ingredients were missing. I went here with my grandma, and we both enjoyed their food although as first time diners-in, it was a bit confusing on how to get our drinks with our food as we used the kiosk, and they weren’t provided with our plates. There should be a notice on the kiosk when you check out to pick up your drinks from the front desk. Also, I am not sure why, but almost every Panera I have been to piles my ingredients within the sandwich. Meat? In a pile in the middle of my bread, a literal pile. Onions? They’re on one side of the bread, tomatos on the other. The extra cheese you asked for? Melted as a blob on the outside of your bread. Tasty, but messy, as I had to fix it, and it kept falling apart. They also seem to run out of their chibatta bread pretty quickly. The wait time for the food was minimal, though, and we were there around 12-1 on the weekend.

They don’t have most of the stuff on the menu. It took half an hour to prepare a half sandwiches and soup. The food were cold. I ordered an Asian Citrus Salad with Chicken, they ran out of dark meat and didn’t substitute with other kind of chicken. So I paid for chick salad with no chicken at all. The French onion soup was cold gross, I have one sip and I gave up. Never going back at this location again.

We came her for lunch yesterday. We used the self order kiosk. The user interface was quite easy to use! Our food was served hot and fresh. The manager was kind enough to inform us our meal was ready since we didn’t get a text notification. I got the macaroni grilled cheese sandwich with French onion soup (extra cheese). Though the soup lacked broth flavor they used gruyere cheese which is always the best cheese for French onion soup and many places don’t use it. So props to panera. The sandwich was cheesy and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The side of French bread was a little stale and tough but it was perfect for dipping in my soup. My wife got an iced caramel machiato drink, which tasted “a little milky” perhaps because of the shear volume of whip cream which melted over time. She got the pepperoni flatbread and really liked it. When I tried a slice, I thought it was lacking in sauce, but I guess “flatbread” pizza isn’t supposed to have too much sauce. The fruit cup we got had fresh and juicy chunks of pineapple, melon, and honeydew melon . We ended with a cookie which was large and quite delicious. It was firm, dense, but chewy with lots of chocolate. Our meal cost $33 which is fair since panera is a step up from fast food. Will be back!
