Gross. We should’ve walked out as soon as we walked in. The stench!! I assumed it was a clogged drain but the whole place reeked. The food was embarrassing with the prices they charge. Bacon on a sandwich was bacon bits, basil was just a few shakes of dried basil, grisly chicken, I could go on and on. There are SO many restaurants in this area, I don’t know how they’re still in business. I think it will be closed soon, and rightfully so. Oh and the tables and bathroom were filthy. If we hadn’t paid $35 for two sandwiches we would’ve left.

Completely negative experience, we came on a rainy day and we saw a lot of students from HBHS were coming in they got kicked out of the restaurant in front of patrons. They were not being loud, disrespectful or disrupting anyone. They were asked to leave because they were not yet ordered anything, the female student informed the employee they were about to order food and the employee told her they can only get to go orders. I find it so offensive and I asked why so they explained to me that a few YEARS ago some students vandalized the place, so this was years ago and not the same kids today still they are being punished for something they didn’t do.
Now as an adult when I asked for my own food I informed who I believe is the manager they were out of ice tea and he replied with an attitude that if they didn’t have they didn’t have!
Needless to say I a never coming back here. It’s absurd that a restaurant behaves this way. You only have business because customers keep you open. Seacliff have too many options and you won’t be in my list ever again. As a mother and as a consumer this is so offensive.

Overpriced. $36 for 2 children to eat. I passed on food. Why starve mothers, Panera? Zero service. You have to order yourself. There’s almost nothing going on in the kitchen. People are here, though. It must be for the free WiFi. Chick-fil-A is a better value.

Decent salad, the soup was good, the service was kind of…mean for some reason. For $20 this meal needs to be great, it’s not.

I’m honestly disgusted by the smell of this restaurant. The overwhelming stench that hits you the moment you walk in is absolutely unacceptable. It smells like a dirty sewer or pipe that oozes bad smells. It’s not just unpleasant, it’s horrendous and deeply concerning.
What’s even more disturbing is that the employees are expected to work in this environment. No one should have to endure these conditions just to earn a living. This isn’t just about bad business, it’s about basic human decency.
If the owners are aware of this issue (which they must be), and continue to let it slide, they should absolutely be held accountable. Whether it’s a lack of proper ventilation, poor waste management, or just outright negligence, this place is a health hazard to the workers.
The food is good and the workers are lovely. Shame to the owners for the bad experience.

Very disappointed. The girl taking orders was slow, rude and unhelpful. The dining room was a mess, despite it being quiet while we were there with plenty of time to have cleaned. The carpet was littered with debris, and the seats were covered in crumbs. On top of everything, the toilet plumbing was covered in mold, it was gross. I am generally a huge Panera fan but this one is very sub-par.

This dining room smells like the Ninja Turtle sewer and the bathroom smells like a cat’s cooter! I’m a SIP club member and was very impressed by the interesting building. The outside area was cute from a distance, but once I got closer, the seating was old and torn up. I ordered at the front, a fruit cup with a side of whipped cream, a toasted bagel, one cream cheese ($2.99 cream cheese?!?!) Ludacris, and a small hot beverage. After 5-10 minutes, I went to the counter. The manager was very busy with to-go orders, and there were also two other people working. I asked about my fruit cup and the side of whipped cream. She had a confused look on her face and said to me, “Whipped cream? That isn’t normally how our fruit cups come.” She also said it is not allowed, but she would do it for me this “one time” !!!! I explained to her that I ordered a side of whipped cream with my fruit cup. She told me it would be out shortly. Another 5 minutes passed by, and still nothing. Waited another 10 minutes, and I ordered it here, and she put everything in plastic to-go containers. that What??!!?? Ok lady!!! I went into the bathroom, and the lighting was out. I was waiting for master splinter himself to crawl out of the drain along with Pennywise the clown. It was very creepy. The bathroom sink faucet looks like something out of a horror movie. It also smelled like a bucket of bass because the sanitary napkin bins were overflowing. Looked like a scene from Vampire Diaries. DRIVE THE EXTRA FEW MILES TO THE NEXT PANERA. DON’T LET THE BUILDING FOOL YOU. THE SMELLS, THE CLEANLINESS, THE MANAGER, THE SERVICE ALL NEED TO IMPROVE!

No issues with food. The smell of the place is horrible. Someone is using dirty foul water to mop the floor. I can tell this is intentional. Has nothing to do with bread or what they serve. The stinch seems to be out of spite. No way I can dine in there. Take out always.

We stopped into this iconic Panera Bread location that has been an eye-catching Seal Beach mainstay over the years. We ordered an Asiago cheese bagel with low-fat chives and onion cream cheese, a bacon, egg, and cheese on Ciabatta, an Americano, and a cup of regular coffee. The service was very fast, there were lots of booths to choose from, and the meal was very good. The carousel shape of the building lends itself to lots of all-around natural lighting, which makes for a relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed our morning visit.

I wish there was a better system of rating allowing for negative scores. Our experience was bad enough to decide never ever to try another place of this franchise. What they call cheese toast is sweet bread with melted “cheese” product on top.
The pizza alike creation is with smelly low quality cheese often passed as “Italian” in California. Overpriced like never before. I bet prison food is made better in a lot of places.
