We had a group of 8 for lunch. It was a bit busy but they did a great job getting everyone’s orders that was waiting (not just us) Didn’t take long to get our orders. Amazing food! Don’t think I have ever had food from here I didn’t like. I got the Chicken Bacon Rancher…so good!! A lady came and picked up plates that we were done with, so nice. Then she come back with a big cookie for the kid in our group! Made his day!!!

Updated 9/15/2025 – Walking in this place is super clean and moderately busy. There was no wait and my order was taken and fulfilled quickly.
Not too impressed with the add on price for cream cheese with my bagel, but I had to have it! (would be nice to have the bagel toasted too)
The coffees are delicious and not so big you can swim in them like other places.
The service and staff were all friendly and nice.

Always enjoyP their chicken salad is great and I particularly love chicken wild rice soup. Pastries are also yummy. Like the fact, you can build up points and get free pastries.

First time ever at a Panera’s. I had the tomatoes soup and Green Goddess chicken Caesar salad, with half a baguette. Very friendly, helpful service. Got my eat-in order in less than minutes. Everything was so fresh, filling, and delicious. I love all the great, unique, and healthy food choices, and the asst portion sizes to choose from, plus the calories for each posted. My salad looked like it came from a food photo op in a magazine – chocked full of thinly sliced roasted chicken breast, avocado, soft lettuce, grape tomatoes and just the rt amount of green goddess dressing.
I can’t say enough about the delicious meal that definitely filled me up and the relaxing atmosphere as well.
Can’t wait to return to a Panera to try other items and maybe sneak in some of those bakery items I resisted thjs first visit.

Customer service is top-notch. Great food options always served fresh! Orders are made promptly and accurately. My personal favorite menu item is the broccoli cheddar bread bowl. The bakery treats are great too.
This Panera is a great place to come with your significant other or just to have a bite to eat. The environment is friendly for reading or even getting some work done.

We had lunch at Panera on 86th Street and the service was so slow. We inquired about the delay after 25 minutes of waiting, and were told they had many orders ahead of us. The restaurant was almost empty. Then we find out they are filling online orders ahead of customers actually in the restaurant. You need to take care of people who are there first.

64 years, worst food, worst delivery company, terrible manager Jayson and down right awful customer service. Obviously they have more business than they know what to do with. Had a very simple order chicken noodle soup a sandwich and cucumber salad. Oh a chunk of bread thrown in the bag not in anything just thrown in the bag. No sandwich, no we’ll get one right out to you and not only cold but no noodle no chicken 2 cups of broth + they accused my wife of lying.

I have been going to this Panera twice a week for the last year and a half. Some staff have turned over which is expected in the restaurant industry. But also so has quality. It used to be a very friendly place with exceptional service, and a highlight of my day. But the last 4 times I have ordered food it has been wrong. Got a sausage breakfast sandwich today with….no sausage. When I called I got silence and a “thanks for letting us know, sorry about that”. It might be time to cancel my Unlimited Sips membership and move on.

I had what has to be the world’s worst grilled cheese sandwich at the Panera in Urbandale this afternoon. It was dry bread with a couple of slices of Kraft American cheese. I was starving and didn’t want to waste it so I did eat it. Come on Panera. For almost 10 bucks you can do better. Oh yeah it was also cold.
