Stopped by the Panera in Carmel, and it’s definitely one of the busier locations I’ve been to. There’s no drive-thru here, which means everyone heads inside, adding to the foot traffic. The café is part of a shared plaza, so parking is combined with several other businesses, and it fills up quickly during peak times. Inside, the space is clean and well maintained, and the layout feels open enough to handle the crowd. Even with the heavy traffic, the staff kept orders moving at a steady pace, which I appreciated. My food came out correctly and tasted fresh, consistent with what I expect from Panera. Finding seating can be a bit of a challenge when it’s packed, but turnover is fairly quick. The atmosphere is lively, and it’s a decent spot to sit down for a meal if you don’t mind the busyness. Overall, a solid Panera location, just be prepared for the crowd and lack of a drive-thru.

I just want to say how much I appreciate the wonderful team at Panera Bread. Everyone is always so kind, welcoming, and helpful. I stop by every day for my coffee, and they always greet me with a smile. The service is consistently great, and the staff truly make my visits enjoyable.
Thank you, Panera team, you’re doing an amazing job!

We have eaten at Panera many times since they opened in this area. They offer fresh foods including several different soups, sandwiches, salads, breads, fruit cups, pastries, etc. They have great specialty coffees, teas, juices, soft drinks, milk, and more. Their pricing may be a little more than a fast food place but the food is fresher and healthier, and tastier as well. We love it and will continue to dine when we are in the area. We are in our late fifties and love the quiet atmosphere and the patrons of all ages who also seem to love it, from college students to senior citizens.

I’m not really sure what to say other than very disappointed and I will never go back to this location again.

I’ve been that many Panera’s and this one is the worst I have ever been to. When it first opened it was up to franchise standards, now it feels more like a high school cafeteria. Very filthy, tables are not cleaned, the floors have food all over them.

I approached the cashier about the cleanliness of the restaurant and she said oh sorry about that, we will get someone out there to clean it right away; several minutes later I saw her chit-chatting with her friends in the dining room, and nothing was being done, she was chatting with her friends for at least 10 to 15 minutes. We had to sit at a dirty table to eat. We were there for about 35 minutes after I first approached the cashier, nobody ever came out to clean anything. I then spoke to the manager who was apologetic but did not appear to be very concerned with the appearance of the restaurant or my disappointed. I think a lot of this has to do with the age of the employees and the clientele, all of which are either teenagers or in their early twenties, including the manager.

I find it very disappointing to spend over $50 for a couple sandwiches and two sides and have to eat at a restaurant that is more like a high school cafeteria.

This review isn’t about the food of Panera rather than the location itself. The food that came out is the same as any other Panera restaurant which to me is just another mediocre sandwich shop with some better than average soups and macaroni and cheese.

$16 for fist full of Baja Bowl with chicken!!! I ordered at the kiosk and did not tip because… self service and all. Food quantity was HALF of what is shown in their menu picture (was it because of no tip?)!!! I am not coming here in future. This is stealing from customers!!!

2 hours before closing and the entire bakery rack is empty. They were sold out of baguettes. We were forced to order on the kiosk. It frustrated one customer enough that they walked out. For a so called “fresh” bakery this location never seems to have any baked goods. The kids Mac n cheese was stone cold. We were served cold food on a dish that was supposed to be served hot.

Very disappointed when I placed a to go order and received the 1/2 order Napa Almond Chicken sandwich with about a tablespoon of the chicken. There is more tomato and lettuce than the chicken. This isn’t even close to a $9 sandwich.
This is also the 2nd time this has happened. The first time I let it slide because they were so busy but come on!

Unfortunately, the experiences I keep having at this location are negative. Store is always dirty and staff is not friendly. Overall, I have never had a pleasant experience here.

What I experienced today is why I’m writing this review. I came in after ordering online. It said my food was ready for me to pick up, but I still had to wait 10 minutes. While I was waiting for my food, the man packaging up the orders was extremely unfriendly. He was cussing under his breath and aggressively packaging up the food. He ended up just crumbling up my order and threw it to the side. And I mean… threw it.

After all of that, my food wasn’t even good. I got the Baja Bowl, which is one of the warm bowls. When I got it, my rice and quinoa was hard and my chicken was freezing. Definitely not fresh. I paid almost $12 for something I couldn’t eat. And because I was on my break, I didn’t have time to get it fixed.

The employees were friendly and very helpful. The place was clean and orderly. Ordered a Turkey Bacon sandwich, chips and a drink. A good meal for the money.

Panera bread is our “to-go” place to scratch the itch of seasonal soups and subs. Their sandwiches are healthy and delicious. Soups are always winners. It has a great ambience and the place is conveniently situated in Village park plaza for shopping later on. We always liked to visit Panera bread for lunch or dinner takeout.
