Trussville Panera Bread is a very mediocre experience with barely enough redeeming qualities to justify walking in the door.

It’s not ridiculously busy, but not dead either. The tables appear clean from a distance, but when you sit down, it’s apparent that the employees rarely tend to the dining room. Our order was taken rather quickly, and the food came at a similar pace.

The food quality left something to be desired. Biting into the bread of my toasted Italiano sandwich was an experience I’d liken to breaching the hull of the Titanic. It took an iceberg of effort to get through the crust and sever a mouthful of sandwich from the main body (which, mind you, was rather small for $7.50). The bacon mac n’ cheese was satisfactory, but let’s be honest: it’s very difficult to mess up mac n’ cheese.

Now would also be a good time to mention the fact that upon one visit, my grandmother’s wallet was stolen from this location. It’s not the kind of thing I’d expect to happen just anywhere in Trussville.

If you want to spend your days squandering your paycheck on mediocre food paired with questionably average service, and you like to top it all off by having your recently emptied wallet misappropriated, Panera Bread Trussville is an extremely effective candidate wherein to accomplish such goals.

We have enjoyed visiting many Panera locations for years. We like their fresh ingredient menu and bakery. The service at this location was very good. The breads and baked treats, however, appeared to be at the end of their shelf life and offerings were sparse. Also, the interior appeared tired and a bit dingy. There was just no sparkle. This is a common malady in the restaurant/retail industry when mediocrity and prioritized cost cutting becomes entrenched in the corporate structure. Higher ups just don’t seem to notice or prioritize fresh paint, sophisticated lighting, crisp clean areas. I hope the company isn’t dying a slow death. (We recently lost Gadsden Panera.) Here’s hoping they can transform this ‘meh’ malaise going through the motions existence.

My wife and I love a number of the menu items at,Panara Bread. We both really like the strawberry poppyseed chicken salad, but it’s only available when strawberries are available.

The last time we were both my wife and I got half a salad and half a sandwich. We both ordered the Harvest Medley Salad, mine with chicken and hers without. I ordered a Chipotle Chicken Avo Melt for my half sandwich while my wife ordered the Ciabatta Cheesesteak. I ordered a soft drink while my wife had water. We shared a blueberry muffin for dessert.

The salad was very good, but it would have been better if it hadn’t been made with spring mix, which I referred to as “rabbit food” and my wife calls it “yard stuff”. We both thought our sandwiches were very good.

I would’ve read a Panera bread a five except for the price we paid $39 and change including a small tip. In my book, that’s a bit much to pay for lunch for two people. But then again the cost at restaurants has gone crazy since the pandemic.

Stopped by to pick up an order to take home. Took 20 minutes to get the food. Got home with the order and it was not complete. Tried to call to talk to the manager about the issue and never could get through. Every time I went on hold it would ring for 20 or thirty times and hang up the call. This is the second and last time I will eat at Panera in trussville Al.

We waited 50 minutes at the window for one sandwich, soup, bagel, and 2 drinks. One of the drinks was wrong.after waiting for so long, I went inside to find out what was taking so long only to realize that our food was ready, sitting in the back, and I’m guessing they just forgot about us. I called to file a complaint and I was told that someone would reach out to me (they never did). They also told me that we would get a $10 credit to our account. But seriously? At this point because not only did no one take the time to reach back out to me, but the corporate office person I spoke to was rude, of no help, and I will never return back.

your gloves are to protect the customer’s food not to keep your hands hear and phones clean. Its not only about the hair I found inside my sandwich, but you can’t make food with kne hand and check your phone with the other while wearing cooking gloves. The dining area and floora needs cleaning

I waited several minutes at the counter while staff chatted in the back. When I ducked my head around to let them know there was business at the counter I was told to get out of the kitchen. Then I waited another few minutes. Just sad. I think this is the first truly negative review I have ever given.

Must rename the Half Sandwich to “Quarter Sandwich”. Why is the sandwich HALF of a half now??? RIP off. The older gentleman at the counter was so nice. The ladies in the back—RUDE and need training on customer service. Will not bringing my hard earned money to this location again.

The Green Goddess Salad was great! Avacados were fresh, and the salad was crunchy! The dressing it comes with, called Green Goddess Dressing, is so tasty!

Great food prepared and served by sweet, kind people. The autumn squash bisque was devine, and the turkey cheddar sandwich was delicious.
