I had to stop everything I was doing to write this review. Never have I ever had a worse experience at a panera. I put my $14 order on the ipad, AKA, no room for error except on my part (which I made no mistakes according to my receipt). I ordered a frontega chicken panini. Tell me why not only is the majority of the sandwich bread, but the sauce is chipotle mayo sauce, of which I am allergic to. Can’t remember the last time that sandwich (which I order every time) had that sauce. They were “too busy” and did not give me the time to issue a refund or even address the issue. Terrible service and terrible food, I can’t believe this is such a popular location. What a huge waste of money.

Panera Bread in Gaithersburg is a delightful dining haven. The spacious ambiance creates a comfortable atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a quick meal or leisurely lunch. The service is prompt, ensuring that you’re not left waiting, and the staff is attentive to your needs.
The culinary experience is nothing short of delicious. I indulged in a steak sandwich paired with a hearty chicken soup, and the flavors were a symphony of satisfaction. The variety offered extends beyond the ordinary, with options like a chicken salad sandwich and tomato soup adding a delightful twist to the menu.
What sets this Panera Bread apart is the charming addition of a fireplace, enhancing the cozy vibe. It’s those extra touches that elevate the dining experience. Whether you’re seeking a casual lunch or a place to unwind, this Panera Bread location in Gaithersburg proves to be a delectable choice.
I was also gifted some potato chips for my patience !

usual panera fare, but the staff are great here. lots of local and regular patrons – seating can be limited at times. coffee is good, and their own cold drinks are a favorite. ordering ahead helps if you’re in a hurry and they prep those orders fast. good wifi

Toasted Roast Beef and Cheddar is the bomb.
The roast beef was extremely tender and cooked perfectly. Despite toasting to melt the cheddar, there was still pink color as a proper roast beef sandwich should be. The horseradish sauce was real, not just flavored mayo.
The baguette was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My favorite part were the pickled onions.
I haven’t been to Panera in a long time. This visit reminded me of their high standards and why I liked them so much when they first opened. Great job Panera.

Made a mobile order to pick up in 10 minutes. The bakery item was in bag waiting on the shelf, but had to ask for the drink. It was not crowded on a normal weekday for my late breakfast. The bagel was warm and usual with some butter. The drink was regular as well.

Frequent customer of this location but I will change locations now. Food has become tasteless and special instructions usually missed. Also bit into the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich and felt something rough that I couldn’t chew. It was the skin of the Avocado in the sandwich. Employees need to carefully take their time when preparing orders.

Food came out super fast, which was exactly what we hoped for by coming here. Restaurant was clean and tidy. There could have been more mac & cheese in the grilled mac & cheese sandwich, but it was a nice snack. Convenient walking distance from our hotel.

It was terrible….Seriously. our food was average. McDonald’s would have been a much better choice. I purchased a bacon, egg, & cheese brioche sandwich while my Beautiful wife; whom I had taken to the hospital earlier in the morning, had a sausage and egg sandwich on a bagel. The reason I say she had gone to the hospital prior to going out for breakfast is because she deserved much better in reference to food and a good Tuesday morning. To take her to Panera Bread was supposed to be a treat after having been in the emergency Room a good portion of the early morning but instead the food we received was sub par. The coffee was not that much better. The specialty coffee that I had wanted to drink; ran out, therefore instead of having hazelnut coffee I had to choose something else. As a paying customer I shouldn’t have to. On top of that the coffee was not as hot as it should have been. And to have to stand there and tear each sugar packet to put in your cup while creating a line; or in some cases a somewhat impatient yet kind enough to wait mob who are all waiting to get their coffee and get out, makes no sense. I do not plan to go back to Panera Bread. By the way their scones were average. I got a blueberry scone and my lovely wife got a lemon one.

As a frequent customer, the customer service is disappointing. To-go orders are always in different places, often requiring that you get in line at the counter behind those ordering to retrieve your items (even when you’ve paid). They also frequently forget items, particularly from the bakery for to-go orders and then, when you check the bag yourself, they’ve run out of the item.
