We always order in this location since it’s close by but the customer service I don’t even want to give 1 star! And today isn’t the day I will just let it go, I ordered the bread on line and called them before hand to make sure they have the bread since couple of times I ordered and either they don’t have it after I put in the order and there’s even one time my order was picked up by someone else so I walked out without bread. Today when I went and pick up the bread this is how it looked! This isn’t a $2 dollar kind of bread it’s almost $7 so I was hoping and expecting better but I don’t know why and I even said to the lady at the pick up area that I wasn’t expecting this kind of order that it seems like it was just dumped in the bag, she didn’t seem to care and not even a sorry! I can go get a $1 and it’s even packed better compared to this bread that worth almost $7 and looks like this! Don’t you care of how you prepare your orders or is it because it’s only worth that much that’s why the quality of service doesn’t matter! I’ve been to so many Panera Bread locations here in the States and Canada and so far this place isn’t the best!

Ordered in store for take-out. Ordered a full black forest ham and Gouda melt. Did not discover until I got home, but they had given me a half tuna sandwich, obviously somebody else’s order. Called the store to get a refund for the sandwich and was told I had to go all the way back to the store. Additionally, I was not given a receipt with my order. Asked employee on the phone if she could pull up my order number based on my phone number that was provided at the time of the order. I was told I had to come into the store.

I went to this location for lunch on a Saturday afternoon about 1:30pm. They were sold out of every single soup and hot side they sell. I frequent their Voorhees location at least once a week and they have never been sold out of soups. Also, my $9 sandwich looks like a small child made it. The whole bottom was covered in mustard and mayo. Never again will I visit the Deptford NJ Panera.

Good food, the staff need to be trained a little better. Multiple times I’ve ordered a rapid pick up drink. It wasn’t rapid. My drink was not ready when I got there, even though I arrived 10 minutes after it said it was going to be ready.

Theresa took my order here, phenomenal customer service, extremely kind and explanative. I believe Theresa accidentally clicked the wrong button when I placed my order and I got the wrong food, the manager on shift asked me if I wanted the right order and offered me a refund as well, I took the refund but explained it was unnecessary to make another sandwich. The food was on par with any other Panera, and I truly empathized because they were understaffed and still managed to handle the dinner rush. This store is very busy, yet it does not have the self-service kiosks like a lot of the Panera Breads in the south jersey area. I’d wager that they would have more available hands on deck with those kiosks, a happier customer experience, and less crowding at the front counter. Let’s face it, Panera Bread has the money lol. I was fairly surprised actually, Deptford is a nice town and where the economy is going and all.

Overall the food, drinks and service is good. Just occasionally food orders can seem a little skimped on but it isn’t all the time. My main complaint with the location is honestly the management. Of the two managers I’ve seen and met here both have foul attitudes and act as though managing the location and it’s employees is a burden. Both got agitated over new employees doing their best but needed help. The male manager we usually see is often hounding all the employees working behind the counter and telling them to remake food in the middle of breakfast/lunch rushes then questions why everything is moving slow. Just a few hours ago we were being helped by an employee that was clearly struggling and apparently it was only their second day on the job. This is fine, me and my fiancee weren’t bothered or anything but it just felt like she was t properly trained on the register just yet but she was left alone during the breakfast rush. When she goes to get the manager who immediately looked annoyed. Said manager takes over taking our order but with the moodiest look and tone possible, asking “is that all?” After each item as though trying to rush us to stop buying things. All this while not even trying to show the employee behind her how to enter everything into the register. All this followed by the manager not bothering to ask or take our rewards program number which meant we didn’t use any of our discounts. I don’t know why Panera send the most miserable people to manage this location that clearly does a lot of training.
