It’s your standard Panera Bread but you can tell they lack quality assurance. First off, i arrived at my designated time and it took an additional 10min. It was only a half sandwich and an apple. They seemed busy so I did cut them a little slack…. And then i got my food.

The onion on the Mediterranean sandwich made it under the bread instead of inside of it. lol. The bread was soggy from the sauce which is odd because I picked it up right when it came out and ate in the parking lot so that tells me it was prepared earlier and just wasn’t put out on the shelf for pickup.

I’m not sure if it was turkey or chicken since I didn’t eat it but there was meat in my veggie sandwich. Lucky for them I’m not a vegetarian because if I was I would’ve been very, very unhappy with meat being on my veggie sandwich.

They gave me a 50% off a bakery item and I used it for the cheesecake brownie bite and I’m glad I only paid $1 for it because it is TINY!

Overall, I’ve been to worse and I’ve been to better. They’ve got room for improvement but I was happy to get my favorite sandwich nonetheless.

Also, as others have reported, employees are not very friendly or engaging. Talking amongst one another but didn’t have even 1 person make eye contact with me from when I walked in throughout the 10 min I was waiting. Weird.

For a sandwich entree, the French dipper, I would expect 2 cups of the dip. One part of the sandwich took up the whole single cup of dip they gave me. And it wasn’t like this was filled up, they put half a cupful inside of the cup. What am I supposed to do with the other sandwich?

This place is gross, nothing like the other ones I’ve been too. Expired cream cheese because I got it separate on the side, the bagel was grilled and stale. Coffee you have to make it yourself ? No not into that at all touching everything everyone else touches. No half and half in the bottle. The covers have the hole so it spills all over the place and I didn’t fill it up for the reason. Not worth the price. I will be refunded but that isn’t the point. Clean up your act and the kitchen staff. ******Update on review never refunded on my debit card as promised.

Lunch on November 4, 2025, the woman at the register with a blonde ponytail was very pleasant, good customer service skills, actually went to every table checking on customer’s orders. Then I saw her clearing tables also. The “Grilled” Cheese I ordered was just soft bread with a piece of cheese,
not grilled, toasted or buttered! Not a “Grilled” sandwich at all. The new location is not as nice or comfortable like the former Smithfield Commons one.
Good Green Agave Tea and Cob Salads.

I travel to this area on business often and this is not the first time this Panera has disappointed me. I just picked up my salad and my soup and drove several miles back to my hotel. I opened the salad and not only is it filled with lots of stems and very little lettuce but I have two Green Goddess salad dressing cups that do not have a teaspoon of dressing in either one. If you combine the two you wouldn’t even get a half of a container. My expectation is when I pay $16 for a salad that I get all the condiments that go with it. I won’t be visiting this location again

The food was sandwiches we had were delicious and the broccoli cheddar soup was tasty as always! Perfect Sunday lunch on a rainy day after visiting the tulip farm!

Just went through the drive thru and ordered 2 grilled chicken avocado blt sandwiches. First, they didn’t give me the baguettes that come as a side, so I had to go back to request those. When we got home to eat, our sandwiches were pathetic. No bacon, barely any chicken and a minuscule piece of brown old avocado. The sandwich was sloppily put together and any company that charges $12 for something like this should be ashamed of themselves. I literally felt like I was eating bread with mayonnaise and lettuce on it. Shame on you Panera, do better!

What’s missing from the bottom corner slice of my cheese ? The cheese. Where did that one slice’s cheese go? Good question. I don’t know either. Cold as a brick too, didn’t take much time to pick it up or get home either. Oh well… Deserves 2.5 stars really. Underwhelming. New location can’t fix that. Prices have skyrocketed as well I’ve noticed. Won’t be back for a while. Over 10 bucks for their sandwiches? You’re better off elsewhere, especially since quality isn’t a priority at this location, which (before the move) I’ve been going to for a decade.

Whoever thought “hey you know what, we need to modernize our design and change up our vibe” should be immediately fired. Literally the only thing that kept me coming back and paying $15 for a bowl of soup and a (HALF) sandwich was the relaxing setting to do work or catch up with a friend.. this place looks like a Starbucks now. Trash. Literally walked out.
