one of The genuine top 5 spots ive ever eaten at. The green curry was spectacular, and filling along with delicious pad thai . The spring roll and chicken appetizer was genuinely shocking combined with the peanut sauce and the spring roll sauce was so good we put it on rice. The owner Victor was absolutely amazing, me and my friend will make the tradition to come eat at this restaurant every time i come visit kelowna. Amazing People and food . Everyone should try it!!!!!

First time at Pandanus Thai. Had stir fried drunken beef and my wife had pad Thai noodles with tofu (the kitchen was very accommodating in removing the egg to make the dish vegan). Service was very friendly and quick. Decor is soft and inviting and the music added a bit of atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious food. We got the chef recommended Bangcok stirfry (not on the menu), the yellow curry, coconut rice, spring rolls, and tofu appy with peanut sauce. Everything was SO GOOD except for the fermented cabbage. The only improvement I’d recommend is bigger water glasses 🙂 Otherwise, highly recommend! Worth the drive into Westbank if you’re from Kelowna.

It fell short of expectations, especially considering the city’s recent recognition as a UNESCO creative city of gastronomy, a reputation that should be upheld by standout culinary experiences. I specifically sought out this restaurant because of its rare (0.1% one the few rare Thai places) offering of rad na, but was ultimately disappointed.
Despite glowing Google reviews, my experience suggests much of that praise may be limited to the typical Thai menu staples, not specialized dishes like rad na. The noodles used in my dish were not the correct thick flat rice noodles essential for authentic rad na. The gravy was passable but lacked depth and was on the bland side. The vegetables further detracted from authenticity. Western broccoli is not traditional; choy sum or gai lan/chinese broccoli would have been the ideal substitutes. Classic versions of rad na often include baby corn and carrots, and sometimes sweet peas. Mine also came without any cilantro, a staple herb in Southeast Asian cuisine that should be more appreciated on dining tables.
One redeeming element was the chili powder I asked for, which was genuinely authentic and instantly transported me back to Thailand. This chili powder is likely imported, as it’s difficult to source locally in Canada, and truly deserves praise.
Unfortunately, with rad na being my benchmark dish, the lack of authenticity and flavor means I can’t recommend this restaurant for those seeking genuine Thai food. Unfortunately, if a restaurant can’t deliver on such a core Thai dish, it’s hard to have confidence in the rest of the menu. The absence of key herbs, incorrect noodles, and bland flavors failed to live up to both the hype and Kelowna’s new culinary reputation. I wouldn’t plan a return visit.

Absolutely love this place! I’ve eaten here so many times, and it’s definitely my favorite spot in Kelowna.
The vibe is super comfy, and the food is always on point.
Victor is the best,so friendly, and always makes you feel welcome.
The new Bangkok Stir Fried dish is insane! The prawns are juicy and so flavorful.
Highly recommend!

Having been to Thailand, I can attest to the food at Pandanus being authentic, made-to-order Thai cuisine! Every dish was distinctly flavoured, good sized portions and delicious. Victor was really informative when we asked about details. We will be back to try lunch next time!!

We were super impressed with this restaurant for someone that’s never tried authentic Thai food. This place hit it right on the money, very delicious, the flavour and everything about this gem that we found. This was last minute decision and we are so happy we did. We had smiles and happy belly when we left. Victor and Dina are amazing they made the whole experience one of the best parts. Everyone’s needs to check this place out plus the prices are very fair.

Took a chance on Mother’s Day at 6pm w/o a reso. Waited maybe 5 min to be seated, then an hour to order. Apparently their Uber business takes priority – note to self. And they were shorthanded that night. When the orders arrived the dishes were tasty though, although if you don’t like your coconut milk Curry dishes too sweet you might want to specifically ask that they not put extra sweetener in those dishes. The Basil Chillies stir fry was excellent. Two peppers on the menu…? Nah. I would order some extra heat next time. There will be a next time, though not on a busy night. Lots of menu items to try… And very reasonable pricing. Give Pandanus a try – support local!

Spring roll, yellow curry with meat, chicken satay with delicious homemade peanut sauce, fried rice and signature mango stick rice with ice-cream. All these food are highly praised by my family.
