Reviews
From the very first bite, I was struck by the exceptional quality and the deeply rich, authentic flavors of the dish I ordered. The experience transported me instantly, evoking the vibrant culinary scenes of Hong Kong and Vancouver, Canada.
The dish was thoughtfully prepared and generously portioned, offering both comfort and indulgence. Despite the bustling lunch crowd, the service was impressively efficient without ever sacrificing warmth or friendliness. The staff moved with confidence and care, and the food arrived remarkably quickly – fresh, hot, and beautifully presented.
The restaurant itself was very clean, adding to the overall sense of professionalism and pride in their craft. It’s rare to find a place that so seamlessly combines authenticity, speed, generous portions, and genuine hospitality.
I left thoroughly impressed. If you’re in the area, this is not just a meal; it’s an experience you will absolutely love…yes, in Needles, California!
Food was good
Fresh.
Got the lunch specials
Orange chicken for a child so made without spicy pepper
Sweet sour pork (most tender I’ve ever had)
Kung pao chicken. Fresh veggies.
Soft drinks
Beer
Service could be better
Would we go again? Yes.
1st time there, about 6 months ago, Service was Good, Food was Hot and Very Good. Gave them a 5 star review that many people read.
2nd time Service was just bad, and Food was not even close to our first visit.
Went back today Hoping for our First Visit to be what they really are. … But Service was slow and un-welcoming from the start. Food was brought out looking great, but was barely warm. Like they let it sit awhile. And Im a Former Chef, for Asian Cuisine. So I know this Food. That Definetly was not straight from Wok to US.
We didn’t eat much, but I asked for containers, since I know I can chef it up a little and make it better at home. And I was brought 3 containers for our 4 menu items. Just Zero Effort at any level.
Im actually SAD they can’t be consistent. We Drove 45 minutes each way for the only good Chinese around, and unfortunately, it’s not even good anymore
For my entrée, I ordered the Orange Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice. The orange chicken had a generous amount of sauce on it, which I loved. The chicken itself was crunchy on the outside and tender & juicy on the inside. It had great flavor overall. I recommend trying it. The shrimp fried rice was also really good. The shrimp was slightly salty and crispy on the outside. It was cooked well on the inside. The rice was also cooked well and had great flavor. It complimented the orange chicken well.
Enjoyed my meal and the service was great. Thank you!
If we have to pass through Needles in the future we’d definitely stop again
We both found the food to be quite good. It’s interesting how dishes differ compared to different parts of the country. Some standard dishes offered on the east coast were not offered at the Panda Garden. But at the same time they offered a dish that I have been craving for years, that doesn’t seemed to be offered on the east coast for a very long time now.
The prices seemed quite reasonable for the meals the Panda Garden provided. The atmosphere would probably be the area I would improve. Although it wasn’t bad.
All in all, we found the Panda Garden to be a nice break from the places we have been eating along our tour. I would definitely recommend them for someone considering visiting them.
