Panda Express is a reliable stand-by when craving rice dishes.
This Panda met that expectation and I can say the facility is well run.
We came toward the end of the dining room hours, which I hate to do, but the staffs were gracious and made us feel welcome.
I’d recommend this location for anyone in that Panda Express mood or just craving a quick meal.

Every other establishment I’ve been to has been better than this one. Fried rice often cold and not fully seasoned tastes heavily of oil. Protein often not fully coated in sauce. Would be more worth it taking the drive to go to effingham

I had been at Panda Express!! (drive thru) once beforehand. Tonight I went inside for a better experience. I got a half order of fried rice and the noodles. BOTH items were cold!! The two entree’s just had a different taste ♀️. Sadly I won’t be back to the Mattoon location.

Absolutely excellent for opening day. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere as soon as I steeped foot into the door. Food was hot, fresh, and exquisite! I got the orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, and fried rice with a sweet tea. Was able to sit comfortably and work on my English paper after receiving my dine in. 10/10 experience

It opened almost a week ago.
It certainly lives up to the Panda Express name.
Everything was great as expected.
$13.81 for a bowl with a premium entree and a Mexican Coke was pricey but that’s inflation and that’s everywhere.
Upon entering the main entry vestibule, it’s not immediately clear whether you go to the left for entry, or to the right door.
Some stickers or arrows or something would help.
I don’t like the forced greeting upon entry.
When anyone walks in, they’re shouted at by multiple workers, “WELCOME”.
It’s probably fine for everyone else.
But I prefer organic greetings instead of ones in job descriptions.
If you love Panda Express, come here.

We ordered a plate and a small entree. The 2 items that come on the plate that we paid extra for, had minimal amounts. Then the small entree was a joke at a cost of $5.40 I have pictures for reference but cannot add them at this time. The box fit in the palm of my hand and I do not have large hands. Even better is the fact that the box was only half full and most of that was undercooked onions!

Food was good. Everything was good. It was neat to read about the history of Panda Express. I didn’t realize they had been around as long as they have! My only complaint is that the dining area is small & tables are very close together. Otherwise it was pretty good. Several tables needed cleaned, but no one ever came out to clean them while we were there, but they were pretty busy. Service was fast.
