We had a great experience here.
Olivia was extremely helpful and cooperative, especially since we were rushing to catch our flight and make it to boarding on time. She handled everything in record time, with a big smile and such a sweet attitude.

Very kind, efficient, and pleasant service. Thanks, Olivia!

It is incredibly frustrating when you’re traveling and just want a quick, pleasant meal, only to be met with coldness and technical issues. Dealing with “airport stress” is hard enough without a manager making you feel like a burden for basic requests.
Based on My experience, here is a breakdown of the specific service failures at the Panda Express in Tampa International Airport (TPA), along with the best way to ensure this feedback actually reaches the right people.
Experience Summary: Panda Express (TPA)
* Staff Conduct: The manager, Nikki, failed the most basic tenets of hospitality. A lack of a greeting, a missing smile, and—most importantly—ignoring a “thank you” creates an environment that feels hostile rather than welcoming.
* Food Customization: Refusing or showing visible annoyance over a simple request (adding onions from the noodles) is poor form, especially for a “build-your-own” style service.
* Operational Failures: * The Kiosk: Non-functional touch screens significantly slow down the line and add to traveler anxiety.
* The Soda Fountain: Refusing to change a syrup bag for 45 minutes is unacceptable in a high-traffic airport environment; that task usually takes less than five minutes.
How to Make Sure This is Heard
Airport locations are often managed by third-party hospitality groups (like HMSHost or Fraport) rather than Panda Express corporate directly. To get results, you should report this in two places:
* Contact TPA Airport Management:
Tampa International is very protective of its “World Class” reputation. You can submit a formal complaint via their Feedback Form. Mention that this occurred in the Airside (A, C, E, or F) where you were located.
* Panda Express Guest Relations:
Use their Online Feedback Tool. Be sure to include the Store # (usually found on your receipt) and specifically name “Nikki” so the area representative can address the training gap.
A Tip for Next Time at TPA
If you find yourself back at Tampa Airport and want to avoid that specific service headache:
* Airside C: Try Potbelly or Bavaro’s; they are generally cited for better service.
* Airside F: Casita Tequila usually has much more engaging staff if you have the time for a sit-down meal.

Amazing experience here. No line, prices were competitive, and I had huge portions on my 3 protein plate of freshly cooked food. Legit I told my wife it was the best Panda Express I’ve had. Well done to the staff.

At the airport in Tampa. Convenient, fast unfriendly service. A meal on the go. Lots of options you can see in front of you so you don’t have to rely on menu pictures. Enjoy!

Rude service but food is typical Panda Express which is usually pretty good for Chinese fast food. Issues ordering getting attitude because they were out of beef and broccoli… First time I got a « C’mon man » when ordering drinks because the cashier kept giving me my total instead of asking if I would like anything else! I always have a Panda Express meal before flying out but this was the worst experience ever. Maybe just a bad crew on this day Jan 4th lunchtime. Not a pleasant experience and definitely not a good way to start a trip!

Great Panda Express! Food was fantastic, and the cashier even offered to fill my water bottle with ice for me… Very nice!

Several big chunk of rice. The cooks here need to be retrained… and the portions are smaller than other Panda.

I don’t normally eat Chinese American food. Since I was in airport and don’t have much choice, I ate at Panda Express. The food was very tasty, especially the Kung Pao chicken which surprised me how good it is cooked. Highly recommend this restaurant at TPA airport.

Fuss-free chinese food. The usual — carbs + sides. I got a plate: fried rice + mushroom chicken and kung pao chicken for $10 (and some cents, can’t remember).

I love how it’s not too salty and the flavours are okay. Nothing too crazy, though the rice could be cooked a little more. Most importantly, kept me full throughout my 3hr flight and I didn’t have to order any in-flight snacks. I’ll eat at another Panda Express anytime

I just wanted to leave a review recognizing Brandon. All the staff was helpful but Brandon went above and beyond. Generally in an airport fast food place you don’t expect the service to be great- Brandon proved me otherwise
