I decided to give Panda Express another try. I kind of stopped going there in Florida. Because the lines were always so long. But now that i’m back in Georgia, I thought I’d buzz in there and see how long the wait would be. What a surprise. I was able to get right in order. My food have a few samples of their specialty drinks and in two or three minutes.I was sitting down eating my food. The spring rolls were crispy-crunchy (love that) and the teriyaki chicken was superb. They seem to be constantly replenishing the food service line. So everything is hot off the grill, straight to the line. They have some really cool fruit drinks. There was no problem getting several samples to decide which flavor you wanted to order. I like to try something different every once in a while. Did I mention how clean this place was? I was super, super impressed. Instead of taking my order out to the car to eat my lunch as I usually would, I sat at one of the tables inside which was immaculate. The staff was really nice. So all in all, it was a great experience, and I will definitely go back to this particular Panda Express.
I ordered through the drive thru and noticed signage they were out of many sauces(soy, teriyaki, etc.) due to supply shortages. The very apologetic employee reiterated the shortages and was very patient and kind when I asked her to repeat what was available, multiple times.
The wait for the three cars in front of us was very short. The employee was very pleasant and kind and promptly took our payment and gave us our order.
The packaging was intact and no food was spilling out. All utensils, napkins, and fortune cookies were right in the bag where they should be. The food was hot and fresh and had very good flavor. The rice was cooked perfectly(which sometimes isn’t the case at many Panda restaurants) and the to-go container, to my son’s approval, was surprisingly nice and full.
We have all had to deal with shortages and delays over the last couple of years and I do not feel that something out of the control of the franchisee should mar the rating of the restaurant. Service and food were both great, we will visit this location again!
Both times, Mikayla has had a very rude attitude when speaking over the intercom. Because of this, I now refuse to order when she is on the speaker and ask for someone else to take my order.
Tonight, Sue was on the speaker taking my order. I asked for the teriyaki chicken, and she told me they were sold out, then suggested orange chicken and another item. I told her that I still wanted the teriyaki chicken, and she replied that it would take 15 to 20 minutes. I said that was fine. She then asked again, “You are going to wait 15 to 20 minutes?” and I confirmed yes.
Both Mikayla and Sue were very rude and not customer friendly. I visit this location often, and I have never had issues when ordering inside, but the recent drive thru experiences have been unacceptable.
Cons : the “steak” was NOT steak the meat was crispy and tasted like fried liver SOMETHING I HATE i HATE the taste of liver and the “steak” was NOT tender real steak is supposed to be tender NOT crispy and the teriyaki chicken had too much fat on the chicken ♀️.
