We were thrilled to discover this hidden gem at the Ulster service area! It was spotless and had delicious, fresh food. The staff was super friendly and attentive. (By the way, she had a name tag but didn’t have her name written on it.) We ordered the bowl ($12) with the fried rice and teriyaki chicken. It was tasty and filling! I would recommend if you haven’t tried it yet.

I saw some line of people going to Panda Express and the food looked so good. I went on the line and asked about what option they had to order. The Panda’s worker couldn’t answer and looked at me awkward, so the store manager came and told me they weren’t opened yet. This people all in line were their employee, just training and do demonstration. I feel a bit embarrassed, but he was kind enough to tell me they will give their food to me for free as I was craving for their food, lol.
I got fried rice with sauteed beef and broccoli. it was good and I’m glad they have Asian food in the service area.

Panda Express wasn’t really my favorite, and honestly, I’m not sure what the hype is about. Maybe it was because it’s right off the Thruway, the prices felt a bit steep, and the food wasn’t particularly memorable. It was a Sunday evening, and they were out of many items, even though they had three hours before closing, which was a bit disappointing. The lady serving was very friendly, and the staff overall was kind, but I think the food and prices could be improved. My son and I spent over $60—I’m still surprised because the menu showed $15 for the larger plate, but I was charged $25. When I asked about the price difference, I didn’t get a clear answer, and since there were quite a few people around at the rest stop, I decided to let it go, especially to avoid making my son feel uncomfortable. I work hard for my money, so I believe it’s worth mentioning this. I might consider trying a different location next time to see if it’s better.

Walked into this Panda Express off the freeway, four employees there, and not one could say hi or even pretend to care I exist. I stood there five minutes while they chatted about who-knows-what, then finally got a half-hearted ‘I’ll be right with you’ after they were done gossiping. Do you need a freakin’ Harvard diploma to give decent service at a minimum wage job like this? It’s ridiculous. Absolute joke!

The worst panda express ever.. I actually walked away. They had no orange chicken and no white rice. I asked how long he says 5 minutes I wait 10. Asked again he says about 20 more And they have to finish cooking sesame chicken before they start the orange chicken withan attitude. I want to give a shout out to Bloo. That employee really saved the day. I entered the NY state thruway stop and went inside to the Panda Express.
It was a little before 7pm so it was nowhere near closing. There was no line at the Panda Express and there was food already prepared to choose from. As I walked up the staff person who was at the counter without saying a word just turned around and walked to the back where they disappeared for an awkward amount of time.
I was starting to silently get annoyed when Bloo, who appeared to be the cook, took notice and came up to provide me with service.
They were very polite and helpful and I just want to express my praise to Bloo. Without their stepping in to provide service, Panda Express would’ve lost me as a customer permanently!
Again, big thanks to Bloo and I hope they receive props for their helpful service as they really saved the day.

Hours say 10:30am open, they finally opened at 11:05am or so. Then once they opened they didn’t even have all their food ready, which meant waiting even longer. Staff was ok. Not rude per say but not good either. Very meh. If it wasn’t for the food then this would’ve been rated much lower.

We love Panda Express. But, the hours of this store showed on Maps as: 10:30AM – 11:00PM. However, they actually closed at 8:00PM. This has been misleading and should be updated ASAP!

I visited this place and had a very disappointing experience. The cashier, Azmoralda, was rude and unpleasant. What bothered me most was that I bought a large box of food, yet she gave me very small portions of everything, as if trying to save on the customer.
When I pay full price, I expect basic service and a proper amount of food — and unfortunately that didn’t happen here.
