I stumbled upon PANANG FUTURE by accident, and what a delightful accident it was! The owner’s warmth, friendliness, and exceptional customer service made my visit truly memorable.
I ordered the cha-Yen along with the Beef Panang Curry, and I must say, it was a delightful culinary experience. The flavors were incredible, and I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch.
What made this visit even more special was the personal touch. The owner took the time to write me a thank you letter, which was a super awesome gesture. It’s the little things that make a big difference, and PANANG FUTURE certainly knows how to go above and beyond in creating a wonderful dining experience.
I highly recommend PANANG FUTURE for not only their delicious food but also for the outstanding service and personal care they offer to their customers. This unexpected find turned out to be a hidden gem, and I can’t wait to return for more culinary delights and friendly smiles.

The flavor of the red curry was good, and the rice was fresh and well-made. I was surprised to see the tofu option was $1 more than the chicken option (at other places it’s either the same or less), and I was further surprised to find it was soft tofu instead of fried. I feel like fried tofu is a better and more common pairing with curry because it absorbs the curry flavor better, and its firmness provides a nice contrast with the more mushy veggies and rice. Soft tofu is fine, but had the menu specified I would have ordered the chicken.
That being said, the flavor of the curry was tasty and I’m looking forward to trying another one from Panang Future soon.

The Pad Thai tasted fresh, good large portion, but very inauthentic, almost like it was from a fast casual chain or something. Rice noodles were mushy and like they never hit a wok, and flavor was really subdued. Maybe the curries are good? Seems like from the other reviews, that might be their specialty.

This is definitely the best Thai food I’ve had in Austin….and I’ve tried LOTS of them. The only downside is that it’s in a to go commercial kitchen – no full service sit-down available.

Finally took the time to order. Wow. Very nice. Clean food, great flavor, good portions. I had the Tofu Pad Thai with added shrimp, the spring rolls and the Panang Curry with chicken.
Definitely will talk about and order again in the future.

This curry is AMAZING!!! I don’t leave reviews often, but this is just too good not to share. Best Curry I’ve had in Austin (maybe ever?) The herbs and spices are perfectly balanced and the bright, fresh ingredients are the highlight of this dish. I’ve found my new healthy comfort food; Panang Curry

Good food and great service! I got the Panang Curry and the flavor was delicious. It came with enough to feed me for two meals, which I always love having leftovers! The owner was also very sweet and handed me the food himself. He mentioned that he sticks with authentic recipes, so if you’re looking for authentic Thai food, I recommend this place!
