A hidden GEM !!
We were very happy to “ leave “ the Un – United States and unite in this small family run place called PANADERIA AHTZIRI!
It’s as authentic as it gets and the servings are perfect sized.
The taco asada was very tasty.
And the Gordita Barbacoa , tough get better!!
Highly recommended the Enchilada Guatamatteca, .
We will be back and if not we will never forget the visit.

We’ve been three times now. Lured back by the fresh-fried tortilla chips my daughter requests at least twice a week. The mild green salsa will suit any palate, but the red has a great kick and is the better of the two in my book!
The gordita de lengua is the star for me so far: the masa is perfectly fried and generously filled with a balanced mix meat and fresh veggies. The carnitas version is right behind it. Cold aguas frescas hide in a corner cooler, and the opposite wall stocks the usual Jarritos, Mineragua, and Sangría.
It’s a tiny spot with just a couple of tables and there’s no sign above the storefront, only on the window, so look closely. Ahtziri has become our favorite low-key stop for honest Mexican fare in Boca, and we hope it stays that way.

Hello, I searched the delivery platforms to get 2 enchiladas w/tomatillo sauce. I found that they charged $17 each and decided to order by phone and pickup myself. So I did. When I got to the restaurant to get my order, the lady took so long on the computer, put the bill on and cancel, put the bill on and cancel. I was wondering why it was taking so long. It was just 2 enchiladas. Well, she was searching the platforms as I did and she charged me $17 per each as Uber, Doordash and Postmates who typically mark up the items to their benefit. I found this lady actions so despicable, I felt like not taking the items and leave them with the food already made, but I am not that person. I see why people are becoming so mean and dishonest. We see it everyday. This lady made the bill tailored to me at that moment. This is so bad. See the photo attached and judge yourself as I see so many good reviews that they are probably acquiring.
Finally, when I got home to eat, another disappointment, they packed my meal with red sauce (1) instead of tomatillo sauce.

Food here is amazing!! Super authentic. I recommend the tlacoyo de birria and tepache. Although I think training could be better. I went the other day and ordered tepache and she did not know what that was. I also ordered tlacoyo de birria and another one of barbacoa and she said they were the same thing but theyre not. Food is super delicious though and service is great! Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in Florida.

Seriously, truly incredible food and those homemade salsa and chips… You won’t find any better – very generous portions so much so that I had to take half of my quesadilla home! Very affordable prices. First time here. My fiancé & I are now fans of this great place! Support local!
