Excellent food and drink. And just as importantly – an excellent warm and friendly service. We had mussels and oysters, which were fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed a variety of tasty red wines that we had not tried anywhere else before. We will definitely be returning for more, and recommend this place to seafood lovers.

Came for a date night with my boyfriend, had oysters, mussels and half lobster to share. Was soo delicious! Especially the oysters. Miguel was very attentive and lovely with great wine suggestions. Definitely will be back thank you!!

Came here for lunch on a Sunday. I was pretty excited initially due to the good reviews but my overall experience was rather disappointing. For a restaurant that takes pride in seafood, I’m afraid that’s where they do badly. Mussels weren’t fresh and way overcooked, whole seabass was inadequately prepared (with its gill still inside leaving a strange bitter taste) and the calamari was rubbery. The fries was soggy and the rice almost has consistency of rice porridge. Service wasn’t the most attentive and was only asked about the food at the point of clearing the plates. For a Sunday lunch, the restaurant was incredibly quiet with only two tables occupied but despite that food took a while to come out. For the price point, I was expecting way more. Unfortunately I won’t be returning.

I enjoyed some whitebait fish and calamari rings with tartar sauce, with a cider. The Palomar restaurant is absolutely lovely and a place you should visit when in Bristol. They were very friendly, welcoming and polite! I really enjoyed the food and cider! Very highly recommend!!!!

Amazing seafood. We were tempted hy the seafood boil but wanted to try a range of things. The oyster was delicious, the praws were spicy and garlicky, so so so good.

Highly recommend for a date night or a seafood treat. Yum

Finally got round to eating at Palomar Restaurant&Bar at the weekend, and what a fabulous meal we had.

It’s known for its seafood, however I’m not a big fish eater, so I was pleasantly surprised at how varied the menu is in fact. For example, there were 8 mains on the menu, of which 4 were seafood, but there was also chicken and several veggie/vegan mains on offer too.

In the end, I actually opted for Atlantic prawns – which were fantastic. My husband enjoyed his seafood linguine and we also had sides of fries and deep fried courgette. All incredible.

I paired my food with a cocktail, whereas my husband chose wine. And we finished off with an indulgent chocolate brownie and ice cream.

It’s rare for every item at a restaurant to be faultless, but they really were.

Add to that, the decor is gorgeous, the chairs soooo sumptuous, and the music so chill. All the ingredients for a perfect date night. In fact, I do declare this one of my new favourite restaurants!

The restaurant was nice, even though we didn’t have a reservation they offered us a table, so i would recommend to make a reservation before you go.
We ordered the seafood boil, the portion is massive and is enough for 2 people, it has langoustines, spider crab claws, tiger prawns, crevettes, cornish mussels, smoked pork sausage, corn, potatoes, peppers, we had also in our boil half lobster for the extra price of 25£, nice taste overall, i would like the broth more thick but it was good

Went to Palomar for lunch and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was great, music was on point, our server was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious (we had oysters and the seafood boil). Little hidden gem!

The only downside was parking, we aren’t from Bristol and when we looked on Google maps there weren’t any car parks nearby that we could see so we had to park on the road outside and walk to the restaurant.

Had a Wowcher deal which made it very good value.
Waiter was very helpful and made accomodations to the set menu in line with our requests which was very kind of him.

Chips were excellent and the fried fish was good, King prawns very tasty and home made ice cream was delicious.
