Such a hidden gem on the California Avenue. Absolutely love the outdoor seating vibes here! The food and drinks are top-notch, and the street views at night make the experience even better. Authentic flavors and great atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back soon!

This Mexican place is actually pretty good! Chips and salsa are good, nachos are good, and quesadillas are good. I give this place a 4 star because I think they could’ve done better with the tacos. I got 2 tacos and although the toppings were fine, I dont like when the tortillas on a taco are flimsy and break apart. I want a sturdy taco that holds together. The restaurant has hard working employees however and it’s a good environment. 4/5

I had a very nice dinner, it is a calm place with good food, good variety, good service and appropriate spiciness.

I got the enchiladas del sol, which were really good. The mole sauce is very slightly spicy, and the guajillo sauce isn’t spicy at all.

Overall good variety in their menu. Their mole is really good, but the seasoning of the guacamole was not great- too much salt and garlic for my taste, and a bit watery. Tends to be crowded, no reservations.

Worst Mexican food I ever had. I ordered chicken fajitas with corn tortillas and both were very tasteless. Except rice and beans there was no topping like cream or guacamole or salat. It was very boring without any spices and not even salt and pepper. 28$ for such a food is simply insane. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Food is mediocre and was served pretty cold. Service is impersonal and feels rushed. Atmosphere is okay but nothing special. I would not recommend going here when you can go to Vive Sol or Agave in Mountain View.

Recommended if after any Mexican food in large portions on a night out with friends. Not recommended if on a date or after better than average Mexican food. We paid $35/person total including a drink, which was a bit too much for the quality. Attire casual or smart casual.

A go-to Mexican restaurant on California Ave. I’m particularly fond of the guajillo sauce but the mole is also outstanding. As far as that goes, I can’t remember being anything but happy with any of the dishes served in the many years that I’ve been going to Palo Alto Sol and Viva Sol.
