Huge shoutout to Mama Soon, our server, who took amazing care of us. She was so friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel extra special. She checked in on us often, kept the food coming, and made sure we had everything we needed. You can really tell she cares about her customers.
If you’re craving a place with great food, good vibes, and standout service, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Will 100% be coming back!
So it’s Korean BBQ, all you can eat. Eat all the meat you can: they serve beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp. All you can eat sushi all the sides that come with it too. If you’re familiar with Korean BBQ then you know the sides are the best. My favorite sides were Kimchi, Bean sprouts, cucumber and potatoes.
The service was great! Sometimes they may take a while to get to you but they will not forget you. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor dining (with beautiful water fountains outside).
Price: I think it might be pricey for some but it’s totally worth it for all the food you get.
Entertainment: You can expect karaoke singing! I don’t sing but I love the entertainment. The manager Rex was very nice to accommodate our huge party. He had this great smile and great energy to match our group! Honorable mention – thank you Steve for playing the Sax. A bonus entertainment.
Tips: This restaurant is located in a golf course so it might be confusing to find at first. But if you have the correct address you will get there. Thank you to Rex and staff for the hospitality and for not rushing us out when it was near closing time! Until next time…
This place is absolutely amazing! My family and I had seen the sign for this place before, but we finally had the time to eat here. Their service is wonderful and the owner is a super nice lady! Their food is amazing, and the sides and sauces AND seafood (some meats too) are self-served. We also had AYCE sushi, which is soooo good and fresh. If you plan to eat AYCE KBBQ, you’ll be led to the outside dining area (there are heaters so you could stay warm) and the scenery is so beautiful!
Best part?
I don’t have to drive 30 mins to eat kbbq
The quality of the meats for the Korean BBQ is great, well-marinated, fresh, and cooks nicely on the grill. The hotpot section is also impressive with plenty of veggies, noodles, seafood, and broths to choose from. Their sushi is constantly replenished and tastes fresh, which is a big plus for a buffet.
The restaurant is clean and organized, and the staff is attentive—plates are cleared quickly, and they’re always checking in to make sure you have what you need. For the price, you really get your money’s worth because it’s an all-in-one dining experience.
Overall, The Palm Tree is perfect for groups, families, or anyone who wants variety, good quality food, and a fun dining experience. I would definitely come back again!
Amazing new KBBQ spot!
The food was absolutely delicious and super fresh, and the staff was incredible. Whether you’re experienced with Korean BBQ or totally new to it, they make the whole meal easy and enjoyable. They helped with cooking, checked on us often, and even let us know when certain meats were ready so nothing overcooked. The service felt warm and attentive without being overbearing.
I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend!
We were seated on the patio where their cooktop tables are located. A very nice backdrop of the lake, fountain and golf course.
All the food was very good. The meats that stood out were the brisket, ribeye and spicy pork belly. The condiments that come with the meat bump up the flavor even more.
It was a really nice experience and we will definitely be going back again.
We tried three sushi rolls and salmon sashimi. The rolls were bland and didn’t taste fresh. The salmon wasn’t fishy, but the cut was odd, and it lacked that vibrant freshness we expect from quality sashimi. For comparison, Chelsea Restaurant used to be amazing when we first moved here—great presentation and fresh fish, like our favorite Bay Area spots. But their quality dropped (maybe a chef change?), so we stopped going. We hoped Palm Tree would be better, but no luck. ♂️
The service was even worse. Waitress didn’t even bother picking up a clean mug before she gave me a dirty mug and poured hot water and a tea bag. We waited 20 minutes for sashimi (raw fish, seriously?) even though we told our waiter we were in a hurry since one of us had to get back to work. The place was practically empty. Only 4 tables with 2 people each and 3 waiters! No excuse for that kind of delay or lack of attention.
This experience left us with a sour taste. We won’t be back for sushi, and I can’t recommend Palm Tree. Please work on your hospitality and food quality! For now, our search for good sushi in Brentwood continues.
I picked up my guest from two different locations, from Berkely to Alemeda to Concord then straight to the restaurant’s location in Brentwood.
Traffic was horrendous, 3 hours, but the company and conversation made it bearable. We arrived safe and ready to eat. Parking was great.
I gave a rate of 4-stars only because when we arrived there was a sign that Sushi will return in the spring and we didn’t see anyone having hot pot, only Korean bbq. Don’t get me wrong, the Korean bbq was fabulous with the condiments and service! We will definitely return when Sushi is back and try the hot pot.
The workers are very hospitable and honest as one of my guest discovered upon returning home that their wallet was missing. They had called the restaraunt the following day and the woman that served us that evening had found it under the table and had set it aside for us. Everything was accounted for. I highly recommend this honest and hard working establishment.
