I ordered a large sandwich — and to be fair, the bread was absolutely living its best large life. Huge. Spacious. Airy. A real estate opportunity, honestly. The meat, however? Apparently on a strict minimalist diet. I’ve seen more protein in a side salad. It was like the bread and meat had never actually met before.
But wait — it gets better.
After clearly ordering nothing but meat, ketchup, and mayo, I was treated to a surprise garden party inside my sandwich. Lettuce. Tomatoes. A full-on produce section. It’s comforting to know that “no vegetables” now translates to “please add a salad.”
And the onions? I politely asked for raw onions on the side. What I received instead was cooked onions lovingly tucked inside the sandwich. Not on the side. (Ok I did also get some on the side) Not raw. But hey, who am I to stand in the way of creative interpretation?
Quality over the last year has definitely… evolved. If the goal was to provide a mystery meal experience where every order is a fun guessing game, then mission accomplished.
Next time I’ll just order a loaf of bread and imagine the meat myself.
This is a real pizza review—not from the office. Imitated, never duplicated.
One bite, everybody knows the rules…
Two slices and a drink for under $6? Come on.
Perfect undercarriage, no flop, solid fold, that NY-style sauce-to-cheese ratio dialed in.
This is a 9.3—a legit score. Not a rookie score.
Serious contender for top NY-style slice in greater Tampa Bay.
CLEAN, delicious, big menu, great value for the money. Would come here regularly.
Longer version:
In town on a job, and in this part of town food options nearby are very limited. I decided to stop in here instead of driving 20 minutes to sit down somewhere else. The restaurant is unassuming outside, with a couple of basic tables inside, and absolutely SPOTLESS.
Ordered a chicken quesadilla and asked to add some onions/peppers. Girls upfront helped me politely and made sure I knew that was an additional charge for the veg. I sat down, waited about ten minutes, and they handed me a BEAST of a quesadilla. It was twice what I was expecting. Tasted great! That and a soda was like $15. Worth it.
I saw they had a little flyer up that they do fresh juices, which I didn’t see mentioned online. In the summer that’s ALWAYS nice. Next time I’m back in the area, I’ll stop by again.
I called and spoke to who I assume is the owner, told her what happened, and she asked for a picture. I texted her a picture, and she said she would replace the pizza but wanted the other pizza back.
I don’t care to keep the pizza, but it’s the principle.. good customer service would never ask for a box back like if we were trying to get over on them? I’m never ordering from there again, unfortunately.
