On our previous visit to Palm Springs we already knew this restaurant was on our list to try. During this trip we finally had the chance to dine there and we are both very glad we did. The food is delicious and the staff is truly wonderful. The menu includes many vegan and vegetarian options as well as gluten free choices, which makes it welcoming for a wide range of guests.
I am not vegan or vegetarian, but I enjoy trying new and healthy dishes. My husband leans more toward vegan and vegetarian meals, so this restaurant was a perfect fit for both of us. We enjoyed our first meal so much that we returned a second time. Our first visit was for lunch and our second was for breakfast.
The food was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. We ordered several dishes to share including the Hummus Avocado Toast with hummus spread, roasted tomato, and avocado. We also tried the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with a brioche bun, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and mayo. Another favorite was the Falafel Wrap with greens, hummus, falafel, and tzatziki. Each dish was seasoned well and thoughtfully prepared. I honestly did not expect to feel full, but I left the restaurant completely satisfied.
When we returned for breakfast the restaurant was much busier, but the staff still found us a table quickly. We ordered the Breakfast Sandwich with a choice of brioche or gluten free bun and either eggs, cheddar, and sausage or the vegan option with scrambled tofu, vegan cheese, and vegan sausage. We also ordered the Cold Potato which included baked sweet potato, cashew yogurt, granola, cacao, and berries. We added a side of tempeh bacon which was crispy, savory, and a great plant based alternative. Every bite was delicious and left us wanting to explore even more of the menu.
The restaurant also serves a wide variety of salads, bowls, sandwiches, and burgers. They offer organic fresh squeezed juices, smoothies, wellness shots, coffee, tea, beer, and wine. There is something for every preference and every time of day.
The staff members are excellent and work together as a team. We were helped by several people during both visits, which shows a strong commitment to guest service and genuine care for their patrons.
Both visits were fantastic and this restaurant has quickly become one of our favorites in Palm Springs. It is not only the delicious food that brings us back but also the exceptional staff. We look forward to returning on our next trip.
That’s said, the staff can be a bit polite, humble, and attentive. When we asked for the table, we were asked several times if everyone was here. It’s fine to ask, but an interrogative style is not needed. They messed up with our order (eventually fixed), but there was no acknowledgment of the miss.
The food is pricey, like $ 7 USD for a tofu ads-on. And the 20% tip was self-applied (we would have tipped the same or more, but nowhere did we read that for a party of 5, there is a 20% service charge).
I will say the biscuits and gravy were redeeming (despite being not a great take-out food). The root vegetable hash tofu scramble was bland: I suspect the tofu was flavored only with a bit of turmeric and salt, perhaps. We added two packets of cholula and then added salsa to give it some flavor.
