Palm & Spice is located at 5710 Cleveland Ave in the Columbus Square Shopping Center and it’s definitely a spot worth checking out.
I ordered a few different items, and the Lamb & Beef Bowl was hands-down my favorite—super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The 5-piece Jerk Chicken was also really good, with just the right amount of heat.
They also run monthly specials, and right now they’re serving up Walking Doritos. I went with shrimp and chicken, and trust me this one is going to be a fan favorite. It absolutely does not disappoint.
Of course, you’ve gotta wash it all down with dessert. I went with a Carrot Cake, and couldn’t resist grabbing a Chocolate Cake to go. No regrets at all.
If you’re in the area, Palm & Spice is definitely worth a visit.

Some friends wanted to stop here before we went bowling nearby. The place was clean and looked great. Staff was pleasant and friendly, and even brought our orders to our table when they were ready even though it is counter service. It’s not the type of food I’d go for on my own, but they have a selection of american food like burgers, fries, and even spaghetti, which is what I got. The portion was plenty generous and overall I liked it, though was unexpectedly slightly spicy. I heard good comments from my friends on the burger and fries, but others were more mixed. Overall opinion was that it wasn’t bad, but that we would probably go elsewhere next time. Prices were reasonable and while fountain drinks were behind the counter they did provide refills. I did use the restroom and it was clean and well stocked and even had air freshener available.

Yesterday was my birthday wanted to try something new.First time trying Palm & Spice the waving chicken is what reeled me in. The chicken was good and juicy but the lamb was burnt over cooked and chewy. The yellow rice was good but had onions inside I don’t like vegetables. The drink was amazing it was mango mixed with pineapple and hibiscus. I also got a cheese cake that was really good. Ordered the chicken and lamb bowl with yellow rice with no vegetables and lamb and yellow rice bowl with no vegetables.

Tip for first-timers… don’t get so excited for the food that you forget to try the sauces until you’re already half done. The sauces are amazing!

I ordered the lamb and beef bowl, and requested no onions. It took about 10 minutes in an empty drive thru to get the order. I pulled off and checked, to find it indeed had raw onions. I walked back in and the lady’s face was noticeably upset. I said, I ordered no onions and there are onions on it. She takes the food as if I’m lying, inspects it , and says well I can pick them off. I told her actually I’ll just take a refund. She said I said I’ll take it off. I replied, if it was as simple as picking them off I wouldn’t have ordered it without, so I’ll just get my money because that’s not acceptable. She then says well we can remake it. I said no thanks, you’ve already told me to pick it off, I just want a refund. She said well people make mistakes. I said they do, but there’s no reason to be rude and your solution to the mistake isn’t acceptable. She gets the money out the registers and slaps it on the counter. I asked her multiple times to put it in my hand because that was of rude her. She ignores me, when she does pick it up she barely puts it in my hand and money flies over the counter. I said for a mistake your being very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Her reply “I KNOW!” I tell her that’s not all my money I need my money. She said it is, I show her it in fact isn’t, because she owed me $5 more. She gets the money and shoves it in my hand. This kind of attitude baffled me especially considering it’s Ramadan. The food could potentially be amazing and I’ll never know. I’ll stick to Lavash Cafe. Great food, amazing customer service and larger portions.

Absolutely THE BEST in Columbus!!! Huge portion for the chicken kabob bowl and so delicious! Love the spicy sauce and the white sauce! Friendly and welcoming staff. Great and fast service. Will be back for sure!

This WILL be my new favorite dinner spot when i don’t feel like cooking! My husband and I have seen this place for the last weeks and finally decided to give it a try. The food was SOOO good. Staff was super friendly and they have so many options! I got the Chicken kebab bowl and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. My hubs got the shrimp spaghetti and it was 10/10! We also got babah ghanoosh and small sambosas. I have to say, the sambosas were seasoned to PERFECTION. so savory , crunchy outside , perfect. and of course we couldn’t leave without sumn sweet the carrot cake was so good and the chocolate cake ?!!?? so rich and creamy . We will be back SOON

It’s likely a 4 or possibly 5 stars if you can get the chicken within reasonable time after being freshly grilled. I was probably the first patron of the day and most likely had the leftovers from the day before. It was still good but you definitely know it wasn’t fresh. They started a fresh batch of grilling chicken while there and the aroma was amazing, wish I came a little later to get some of those pieces. The 6 jerk drums were a good size and could easily feed two people with rice and beans. Call ahead if you’re looking for freshly grilled chicken as it takes 30 minutes to cook. Owner says they are adding Mediterranean dishes along with the current Caribbean in the coming weeks. I’ll be back for the freshly grilled chicken I’m sure will be great!
