I got off work kind of late and wanted a burger. We came here because someone suggested it The bartender let us know that we had 7 minutes to order before the kitchen closed down (10:30) but still encouraged us to stay and eat. So, we quickly made our choices. The food took awhile to come out which is fine. We were enjoying each others’ company and the music. The burgers were bricks, though. They were so well-done that they were rubbery. No sauce in the world could have revived those pucks of meat. I’m still very grateful that they fed me and I didn’t have to cook after working a 12-hour shift. The cheese curds are probably in the top 3 for the area, though. We’d come back just for those and the ambience since neither of us drink. The staff was great. She was new but gave great service. We also loved the vibe in there.

Let me rave about Raven our server. She is the type of server a restaurant should reward handsomely, because her level of service goes above and beyond! She makes you feel at home, constantly checks on you, and serves your food and drinks with a big smile even though we came in super late and she was the only server there.
Food was quite good with some really unique choices, especially their specialty burgers. The burgers were slightly overcooked but overall for a late night meal I have absolutely nothing to complain about!

I’m generally not a bar patron. We recently bought our retirement townhome in Urbandale and I decided to give Pallys a try.
The owner, Brandy, was an instant like. Friendly and hard working. I love their specialty burgers. I prefer medium rare and the kitchen generally makes them just right. My taste is non-spicy, but they have spicy options too. The draft beer selection seems good for a neighborhood bar.
The vibe has been described as Cheers-like and I agree. The sum of the positives adds up to a 5 star experience for my once a week lunch.

Delicious food! We will definitely add this to our list of favorite restaurants! We had the grinder, the Philly, and the French toast burger. Chili was spicy and delicious. The onion rings were awesome, too. Service was great! The only advice for improvement would be to have a little cleaner bathrooms. The restaurant itself was very clean. We will definitely be back!

I ordered the rueben pizza. It lacked corned beef. I pulled the cheese off and found maybe 2 thin slices of what appeared to be lunch meat scattered around. The waitresses said I should have ordered the flat bread? Having said that, my friend liked the quinea grinder she ordered.
