Eatery with a full bar serving Southern Italian specialties in a comfy white-tablecloth setting.

Visit this restaurant for my spouse ‘s birthday on NYE. We have been wanting to try this place for awhile. Overall decor was nice, but the restaurant could use a little makeover.
The Food was amazing with huge portions on everything. We had the CALAMARI FRITTI (shared) DINNER SALAD (shared) , RISOTTO FRUTTI DI MARE, EGGPLANT NORMA, and ZABAIONE. Great flavors with the perfect amount of seasoning. We had leftovers. The bread was so fresh with the right amount of crisp and softness. Delicious!
Service staff were great and very friendly, hard working. My only criticism would be they should have a bar waitstaff when it’s really busy . We waited a little while before placing an order. Some other tables gave the waitstaff a hard time because of it. It would help with the flow of the service of there is delay. At least the customers would have cocktails while waiting the their meal.
The owner was amazing he sang “Happy Birthday” when bringing out my husband’s dessert. What a beautiful touch to a wonderful evening.
We will definitely be back. This is a great place to bring out of town guests or night out for amazing Italian cuisine.

Palermo Ristorante Italiano in Elk Grove is hot, hot like Ann Margaret in 1965 hot! So when I got invited to speak at the Butcher’s Union annual BBQ and all you can eat spaghetti dinner at the Donner Party Auditorium, I was all in, but I told them I wanted Lasagna! And not just any Lasagna…It had to be from Palermo Ristorante Italiano or it’s no deal. Well, they put up a pretty good argument about the BBQ and the all you can spaghetti, but in the end…I got the Lasagna, and Man-O-Man was it great! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ and well worth arguing for!

Food was really good.
For starter, bread and butter was really good. Stem mussel was amazing.
The lasagna wow dish was huge and definietl overestimated the portion; had to take home half of it. Prawn Alfredo was light and fresh.
The environment was really really open and spacious; really usual restaurant interior; almost vintage.
Had a great experience. Service was top notch too.

I can’t say enough great things about this hidden gem! This family-owned Italian restaurant feels like stepping right into someone’s home for dinner. The food is incredible — every dish is clearly made with love and authentic ingredients. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared about our experience. You can tell this place is built on passion and tradition. If you’re looking for amazing Italian food in a cozy, inviting atmosphere, look no further!

Food was delicous, big portions. Disappointed with the service, we were a big party so I understand it takes time to serve everybody but there was not attention given to our table. No refills, no check in after we had our entrees and dessert, we had more help from the bus boy than we did our actual server. I dont mind tipping for gratuity but if your gonna charge me an 18%gratuity you should at least check in with the table more often. There was also not that much traffic so I dont understand why she could not have been more attentive. Other than that the food was great and the environment is cute. Whoever the busboy is with the curly hair did an amazing job. Shoutout that guy.

I ordered food from Palermo for my wife’s birthday last week. The food was wonderful and all our guests loved it. They have vegan options which allowed me to have something for all in attendance. The restaurant was very helpful in selecting a menu and I could not have been happier. We have eaten there numerous times over the years once again they have not disappointed! Great Italian food!

Perhaps the best Italian food I’ve had. Excellent service, huge portions. Looks and tastes like everything is prepared fresh to order.
My only disappointment was after I finished my pasta. I was stuffed, but would have tried to finish another plate if given the chance! It’s that good.

The food was delicious!! Great hidden spot, great food and atmosphere and service. For appetizer we ordered the polenta with mushrooms which was creamy, garlicky and so flavorful. The sauce was so good I don’t even know how to describe it. It’s the kind of sauce that makes you close your eyes and sigh, like a warm, comforting hug. For our main dishes we had the lasagna and the chicken parmigiana. WOW!! The lasagna was HUGE!! It is 4lbs and can feed 4 people. It was bigger than the plate. The sides were practically falling off the plate. I could only eat a few bites and I was so stuffed. We will be having left overs for a week! Of course it was delicous. The chicken parmigiana was well cooked and seasoned but juicy and tender. The spinach that came on the side was so good. We also ordered the lemon mascarpone cake which was light, creamy and not too sweet just the perfect balance. We will be coming back to try other dishes.

Very good authentic Italian food. I’ve had the lobster and crab ravioli on several occasions here which is amazing. Only giving food 4 stars because I’ve had lobster ravioli on one occasion here that was a tad fishy and definitely below average for what they normally deliver. This place can get pretty busy I’d suggest reservations. The chef often comes out and makes small talk very cool friendly guy, have seen him sing to people on their birthdays and such. Very cool vibe here. Honestly you’d never think this place was as good as it is when you see the boring normal strip mall it’s situated in. Try it out you won’t be disappointed.

My absolute favorite Italian restaurants in the area by far. Authentic, flavorful, fresh and mouthwatering. The chef is the best part of dining here. He engages with his customers and makes you feel like family. All of my friends and families I’ve sent here has loved it.
